Television Tho Prop Grops Throps

Now is the time to get watching NXT for anyone uninitiated btw.

Gonna catch up on the network over this weekend, missed the last few weeks.

Totally give my thumbs up of the network btw, even worth the 9 quid you pay for a program to make you look like you're in the US. PPV's aside, there's so much content on there and so many hours of nostalgic quality wrestling that 9 quid is criminal. Would highly recommend it.

Only disappointment so far is that there is not more classic Raw/SD episodes to watch but they're adding more all the time. Did manage to watch the episode before Wrestlemania X-Seven last night though, where Shane 'bought' WCW. It's amazing just how much action and build they crammed into one episode and that's with McMahon taking up at least 40 minutes. It makes you wonder what they're doing nowadays.

JR for example sounds genuinely excited and on the edge of his seat for everything that's happening, for every storyline; "Can you imagine what Undertakers gonna do to Triple H when he gets his hands on him Sunday - that's if Triple H even makes it out of Cleveland!!!" or "Rock stunned Austin, and you better beleive there's gonna be hell to pay come Sunday!".

It sells you, it grabs you by the balls and says "you need to see this ppv". Coles mundane, couldn't care less sarcasm is really shown by such instances.

I agree, commentators play a big part. I feel like turning it down when listening to JBL. Lawler used to be a fantastic heel commentator, now hes one of the worst face commentators. Cole used to be good on Smackdown with Taz when they had the draft split. Now its all about making stupid jokes instead of making you excited for what youre seeing or about to see.

Watched NXT earlier. Kallisto did an absolutely mental dive thing that I still don't quite understand. Neville vs. Zayn was very good too.

I also watched RAW. There was talking and wrestling.

Why? Makes sense to team them up till Ascension gets in main roaster. Then split them up for singles career.

Or, are you ITK?

I haven't read any NXT spoilers yet but he must have. Unless it's a general reference to the fact Balor could well be fast tracked because he's brilliant on and off the mic.

*cough* NXT is recorded in a 4 show block *cough*

No breakup has been recorded.

I do wonder how long he must have spent in promo class in Orlando if he's brilliant now. He was terrible when I saw him in April.

I don't think he's terrible, same with Becky and paige to an extent in wwe at least, they all work so hard on toning down accents that they can be a bit wooden.

That doesn't explain why he was terrible in the north west of England, if anywhere was going to understand him speaking normal outside of Ireland, it's here!

His heel promos in Japan were alright, but he leaned very heavily on just saying feck when he ran out of things to say. He seems to struggle mainly at playing the babyface, almost as though he finds acting to a crowd easier than being closer to his natural persona.

As for Becky, I don't have a problem with her promos, that being said she's only had one so its a bit early to judge. Paige was horrendous but has really come into her own with her work with AJ.

On Paige, she's great on Jericho's podcast. Just skip the first 28 minutes.

I really liked the last segment and I just had spoilt for me something they do on Smackdown, but all ill say is its logical and was needed for Survivor Series.

NXT spoilers in the spoiler, referring to an upcoming debut.

I'm just a bit excited for this.

What's all this about Sheamus having arse cheek implant surgery today then?

A lot of the wrestling rumour sites have been saying that he under went surgery today and allegedly it was to plump his backside out as Sheamus has a complex over how flat it is.

It sounds utterly ridiculous (and hilarious) and is probably bollocks, but who knows, eh? :-)

I really really hope it's true. Mental.

Sami got feckin intense!

Also,
Fight Owens Fight

The way NXT is now, is what Smackdown should be, different look, different commentators, different product rather than just an extension which nobody watches.

Rumour going around the internet for Survivor Series....

Just to be safe...

I hate rumours. CM Punk this, Sting that. Dashing hopes and dreams.

When's Orton due back? I was hoping he'd be the last member of team Cena. It'd be boss if he surprise RKO'd Rollins and cost team Authority the match mind.

If their idea of freshening things up means going that way, then they deserve to be in a bigger mess than they are at the moment.
I really don't understand his popularity either. Well. I mean his popularity now.. in 2014

lights turn out, spotlight shines up to the top of the stadium to show sting kneeling down ready to fly down to the ground. Runs into the ring and clears team authority out with his baseball bat. Once they are all down and the authority has lost he points his baseball bat to triple H setting up a fued for wrestlemania.

I'd go fecking mental for that shit. I loved the guy when I was a kid.

So I heard the rumour going around. Could be fecking awesome.

Speaking of fecking awesome NXT is off the hook. Zayn and Nevill quickly becoming personal favourites.

IF, that guy turns up, he won't be anything to do with Team Authority winning the main event.

On Sunday, interesting to see how they deal with the divas title match, since it seems it will be AJ's retirement match.

As for NXT, it's easily been WWE's best show for a good 18 months now. The fact they can lose the likes of Paige and Bray Wyatt and keep up the momentum is incredible.

Paige's replacement in Lil' Lexi Bliss is the real standout on that front. This girl is going to be HUGE (just not in a literal sense). I don't think I've ever seen anyone so small take such repeated beatings in the ring and not show any signs except the blood. Considering how recently she started she's fantastic too.

I hear a lot of good things about the yet to make tv lot. Most notably Chad Gable who's already getting Kurt Angle comparisons and chants, and former Port Vale keeper Stuart "Hugo Knox" Tomlinson.

Honorouble mention to recently debuted Baron Corbin. This dude has a real star aura about him.
