Also, I'd much rather see someone who can flippy shit than two big guys going at it.

Flippy shit is boring as feck in 2014.

There's a reason that there's no properly flippy guys/gals that are over.

EDIT: there is one notable exception, the Young Bucks. But they're the greatest tag team ever, so don't really count.

EDIT II: they're actually a parody of that stuff, what with their flips leading to back rakes etc… so they definitely don't count.

I'm more of a Kevin Steen/Sami Zayn flippy shit than Neville kinda guy. And I can't speak on Rusev because I've not been watching for a while, but wouldn't that come down to the fact that he is, as far as I can tell the type of character that always get's over "feck you america" "booo" *good guy comes out* "America da best" "USA USA USA" whereas Neville is in developmental. It's a ludicrous comparison.

Doesnt seth rollins(in his brief face run as part of the shield) fall into the flippy guy category?

It's easier to get over to small crowds, and Neville doesn't do it. He isn't even in the ten most over NXT lot and he's the champion.

Calling Zayn and Steen flippy is really disingenuous. They can do that stuff, Zayn in particular can match some of Neville's most impressive stuff, but it's far from their primary stuff.

True, he mixes it up well but wouldnt put him in the power lifting group. I think what stands out about guys like rusev, lesnar, etc is their agility coupled with power. That makes it truely impressive other than the likes of big show.

I look at flippy shit guys as your Rey Mysterio's, your RVD's, your original Sin Cara's etc… whereas Seth, Zayn etc… I'd count as more typical cruiser weights a la Malenko or Eddie Guerrero. Typical wrestlers that can do that stuff due to their athleticism and lack of size.

Let's be honest. Guys doing that stuff constantly gets very boring. They need to mix it up.

No arguments here although I would put RVD alongside guerrero but get your point.

You're right about mixing it up, I was just making the general point that I prefer fast paced athletic types to big guys who don't really do anything impressive when they wrestle. Obviously calling your Zayn's 'flippy shit' is a bit of a disservice, but I'd rather see someone like him wrestle Lesnar than someone like Batista who wasn't even that good when he was wrestling full time. I'd even prefer someone like Harper to Batista.

Harper would put on an unbelievable match with Lesnar imo. It'd never happen though sadly.

No offence mate but zero chance of this happening IMO.

I'm just repeating what he told me in terms of the promotional items he's received at his company. (Think TV) Like anything WWE it's always subject to change, but as of a few days ago HHH v the Rock was the main event for Wrestlemania 2015. I'll check with him in about 10 days when I see him person to see if anything has changed.

I just found out the Wyatt's broke up, what's that all about?

I really like Neville. He's got the look IMO and seems to be able to back it up, though I haven't seen that much of him. I've never seen Steen yet, but Zayn and Cesaro's work together was great.

It might happen, is similar to a rumor I heard recently. Basically they might be planning a power struggle between vince and steph. HHH will ofcourse fight for his wife while vince will get a face champion.

Yeah, it's hardly a new rumour though and was talked about on WZ about two months ago. It's just whether it happens or not which I doubt. I don't think that HHH vs X will be the main event of WM when it should be Lesnar vs X for the title and the rub.

Oh yaeh, not sure if it will be the main event if they are planning on lesnar losing that really should be the final moment of the PPV. Crowning of a new champion, struggle coming true, blah blah blah.

I'm not sure that this is the right place to ask this question, but i'm gonna go ahead anyway.

I'm going on a stag do next year, and everybody is dressing as wrestlers one night. I've chose Ric Flair and I have my robe, feather boas and world title... I don't know what to do for wrestling boots though? I'm thinking either cheap trainers/pumps with football socks. Or Wellies has been mentioned too, but I don't know how comfortable they'd be.

Has anybody on here dressed as wrestlers before? What did you do?

Ok, you've just googled 'Ric Flair boots' - I know what the boots look like, I was just wondering if anybody had done this before and what they used to recreate the look.

There are none on ebay or anything. So i'm going to have to make my own.

The Miz was just on SSN essentially chatting up Rachel Wyse.

Why would you pick Rick Flair over everyone else? Do you realise how boiling hot you're going to be all night? You won't be able to take the robe off otherwise you'll have to carry it everywhere.

I dresses up as Bret Hart once. That was fun.

Its only a satin robe mate, very thin. And we're going to butlins, in February, I don't think being too hot will be an issue!

I liked the idea of Woo'ing all night.

So that's the seeds for Orton vs. HHH at Mania then... which I'm not against. If they're also going to go Batista vs. Brock, I wonder where that leaves Cena? up against Rollins maybe? or even Rusev? There's also Ambrose and possibly Bryan to work in somehow...

I think Rusev will be booked for a Rumble win and face off against Lesnar at Mania. They can't go with the super cena shit again and have him beat Brock, that would piss me off so much. The only person who should be able to win at all costs IMO is Austin just for the plain fact that he's the best of all time. Cena is nothing compared to some of the greats so he can't get away with winning regardless of obstacles put in front of him, just doesn't work.

Rusev vs Brock would be a great clash, both presented as unbeatable, both "super athletes", Heyman would have a field day in a promo battle with Lana too. Could be interesting. Cena should be booked against either Orton or HHH so as not to stifle any of the up and coming talents momentum.

Leave Reins to deal with Rollins as he stated. The Ambrose/Wyatt feud could be interesting if presented right too and lead right up to Mania.

Raw was quality. I'm all for a different approach with Orton but not sure how I feel about crazy loose cannon tweener Orton considering that's exactly what Ambrose is.

I think Orton should be left as an anti-hero type. Not fully babyface but not a heel either. The in between stage where he does what he wants and we love him for it, he's better when silent-ish too as his promo's aren't up to the level i'd want from a top star (Austin, Rock, HHH etc). Just let him be mental with his actions doing the talking for him.

I loved the way he parodied himself when he gave Rollins an RKO right at the start of Raw. His movement to the ring and after the RKO was so exaggerated and definitely getting in on the "outta nowhere" joke.

Thinking about it I think there's a good chance we'll see The Rock vs HHH at mania, it just won't main event.

Wrestlemania is no longer about us. (Wrestling fans) it's about catching the casual fan and there is no bigger casual then an ex attitude era mark who switched off in 2003.

He must be made up with how them vids went viral, he should try and create a new way to execute the move each week to continue the trend.

I agree. He has varied it a bit lately and the commentators are also well in on the joke now. I think his RKO to Ziggler a few weeks back where he lifted him off his shoulders and threw him in the air then RKO'd him on the way down was sublime.

Yeah, loved his tweet about it later on too.
