You watch wrestling?? fecking loser

Every week mate, the 'story lines' alone keep me hooked more than Breaking Bad.

This is someone with sense watching a clip on Sky Sports by mistake when looking for a REAL sport:

Something is either sport or not, theres no fake sports. You seem to be implying we don't like sports too, which is odd, as we're on a football forum. Breaking Bad is better than wrestling storylines fwiw. But thats just my opinion, each to their own.

Claymore watches Eastenders?

If you offered me £1000 to watch WWE or £100 to watch Eastenders I know what I'd choose.

Yeah mate, got no issue with you personally, don't ever know you. Just saw the topic at the top and put my view on it after flicking on Sky when it was on, seeing this fake, over the top shit. Don't get how people can watch it other than KIDS.

Each to their own I guess, as said, if wanted to watch something fake and scripted would rather watch EE and man, that's a pain enough. If a guy come down with a mic all the way for a fight, why would someone have his music ready in the background as if they knew (shock horror) then the other guy lets him threaten him for next weeks show. Why not just bash him there and then like the real world? Would never happen in boxing.

Do people fall for this shit or just let it go and enjoy the 'storyline'.???

Isn't "letting it go" essentially the point of all TV and movies???

Had a few drinks tonight by any chance?

Is that your true answer? Genuinely interested to know without you switching the question around.... do you watch WWE as a man, know its fake and knowing they'll not fight until the top dog says so, which it will be pre decided anyway with someone stomping on the ring to make a noise when they get hit or using Heinz tomato ketchup to fake blood?

The ring steps and chairs are the best one, sounds so loud but face is always protected. Would fool school children though no doubt.

Yes...and I know Brian Cranston isn't a meth kingpin...I'm more worried about you than us. Don't know how you'd take the news that some professional athletes watch it too.

Man watches Eastenders

WOW Ziggler, fantastic interview. I think the term "buried" is relevant in this case. The concussion didn't help, but WWE stopped his push because of the comments he made about the company which weren't even that bad. I really wish he would get a big, big push, but he has one year left on his contract and I expect him to leave if things remain like this.

It's going to be shit without punk, they have fecked him over since they made him job out to the crock and lose the belt to the peoples fecking elbow!!
The guy got a fat new contract and the longest reign as Champion in decades, not sure how that equates to being fecked over.

It's only right that he was made take a back seat for a while after that giant reign. I won't miss him anyway, if this doesn't turn out to be a storyline (which I think it is) and he's actually gone.

He got a back seat when he had that reign.....just like everyone else. He's right in them genuninely needing to have champions at the top. He basically got a longer Benoit reign......where Trips was topping the cards with his godawful HBK reign mostly, Cena was top of the bill when Punk reign with feuds with like Johnny Ace. It's just hysterically stupid. But then again, no one cares about their WM30 main event.

I've been fooled all this time. Than you for opening my eyes. Can't believe I thought The Undertaker was actually a dead person. Sounds silly when I think about it.

Seriously though, at the top level (which is in decline) wrestling is a performance art like ballet (which I'm also a fan of), which is to say it's about the ability to tell a story with one's body. Technique and timing are the crucial attributes of the best performers, such as Shawn Michaels or Bret Hart or Chris Jericho. Winning or losing are redundant.
Now there is a lot of shit in there nowadays, and you'll find most fans aren't happy with the dilution of what wrestling used to be, but most of us watch for the occasional epic match which can really stir the emotions.

If always found this thread weird. I don't watch WWE anymore but Pop in here to check the results sometimes only to see people talking about a match like its a work of art, oscar nominated ,noble prize winning performance.

It's like the WWE fans in this thread are all wearing monocles, watching the action from a opera house type of setting, do you all yell bravo at the screen after each match?

Fuuuuuck no, some are terrible. But some matches are for lack of a better description art. No botches, suspenseful, perfectly in sync and entertaining.

I think he meant opera glasses, which are totally different to monacles but might be confused by a philistine.

Awful post.

Watching wrestling is just good old fashioned harmless fun.

People need to stop being boring old farts. If you don't like it then fine, just keep out of this thread.

And yet you come into a WWE specific thread in a forum to tell us all that you don't like the WWE.

Thanks for that, be sure to let us know about everything else you don't like won't you.

Oh good! Are we doing the annual "WhY Do U's WATCH RASSLIN' LOOOOL" post/debate? It hardly ever disappoints...

Very happy that Cesaro is in the Elimination Chamber. Most impressive guy on the roster after Bryan in 2013 for me.

I used to love wrestling and WWE(F) but it just seems so dull these days.

But fecking hell, coming in here to laugh at people who do whilst talking about Eastenders? That's backwards
 Eastenders, unreal.

To be honest, WWE could learn a lot from Eastenders. We could use a wrestler who constantly says things like "leev it, Randy, 'e ain't wurf it"

something from the dirthsheets:

As we reported yesterday, with CM Punk walking out on WWE and the crowd reacting to stars like Batista, Cena, Orton and Bryan the way they have been, original WrestleMania 30 plans are currently in a state of flux, and the WWE creative team has been in meetings all of last week discussing plans.

The only thing said to be a "lock" for the PPV as of now is John Cena, and while it was previously a "lock" that we would see Brock Lesnar vs The Undertaker at the PPV, the live reaction to Batista might change those plans. PWInsider.com notes there could be something teased between Lesnar and Batista on Raw tonight in case WWE decides to go in that direction for WrestleMania.

HHH with a 'yes' chant. All the naysayers.

I thought my monocle was playing tricks on me with that

HHH has spent 6 months trying to stop this guy being the face of the company and now he is leading the yes chants. I know this could be leading to another HHH screw job to set up Bryan vs HHH at mania but one of the most annoying things about this authority angle is how HHH and Stephanie switch from face to heel in their actions week by week.

Yeah I thought that too. I mean giving him a shot is one thing, but saying he could be the face of the company?
