And isn’t that the main thing. Don’t care too much for Cody’s story, everyone will lose their shit when the glass smashes.
Absolutely! They just need to be careful that Monday people aren’t hyping Rock v Austin 4 and talking about Cody being the new champion.

But you’re right! When Austin runs out with a chair it’ll be insane.

Really enjoyed the Punk interview with Helwani, it's nice to finally get some more insight into what happened at All In and the issues at AEW, and really the polar opposite views various folks had as to what was best for the company. It's a shame as there's so much wasted potential there.

Having said that, beneath the headlines, he was pretty complementary about his time there, talking about the friends he made, the positives outweighing the negatives, wishing them the best, even that he'd be happy to catch up with Tony Khan.

They going to recreate that Mankind title winning raw, loudest pop in history.

Supposed match order for both nights at Mania (Matches are on the right nights as confirmed by HHH)

Night 1.
  • Rhea vs. Becky to open.
  • Six-Pack Tag Team Ladder match
  • LWO vs. Santos and Dom
  • Jey vs. Jimmy
  • Bianca, Jade, Naomi vs. Damage CTRL
  • Gunther vs. Sami
  • Rock/Roman vs. Cody/Seth
Night 2.
  • Seth vs. Drew to open
  • Six-Man Philadelphia Street Fight
  • LA Knight vs. AJ Styles
  • Triple threat US Championship match
  • Iyo vs. Bayley
  • Roman vs. Cody
Personally I'd have swapped the Ladder match and thePhiladelhpia Street Fight (I think match length might be an issue on night one).

Also loved the Sami/Gable stuff on RAW... the reaction when Gable pulls the ref out of the ring just as he's about to count 3 for a Sami win is going to be great.

Clash at the castle will be held at the Hydro in Glasgow 15th June with smackdown on the Friday.
Tickets details TBA

Best looking Mania in decades.

Surprised they didn't go with a bigger arena/stadium. They got 50/60k for the Wales show. Going back to a 14k arena is strange.
Drew is probably going to headline for the world title and they’re hoping for a Rhea-esque pop from a home crowd, after a month or so of Braveheart-themed promos with Drew standing on a mountain or something

I think it was something to do with not having a roof on Celtic Park, Hampden or Murrayfield.
I thought it would’ve been held in Edinburgh due to the name of the event, would’ve made more sense being honest but won’t complain, only castle Glasgow has is,……… Crookston

TBF, even a few years ago, they should have named it Clash near the Castle.

Samoa Joe and Willow Nightingale are great but man there’s a lot of garbage on AEW (Eddie Kingston, Jay White, Orange Cassidy)

I suppose Bothwell is up the road too, not far from me either so would have been good

For people who aren't bothered about cm punk, they really are bothered by him eh?

Aew has a lot of good possible characters too. The stories leave a lot to desire though. Aew at its best was when it has that long term storytelling behind it (and not the ones where defenders say "why don't you google it or watch YouTube")

For example the rise of hangman to defeating omega for the title was great (but they didn't follow up on it). A lot of it is too random which is a shame.

Indeed! I love him but to see him out there doing that, damn.
He’ll surely contradict all that shit once his career is over. And I assume that he’ll be back with WWE down the line in some capacity

He could have easily said working with Christian is the most fun he’s had in pro wrestling and it would have been better and more believable

Also I’d do the same if I owned AEW, but them trying to profit from WWE being so hot right now is a bit embarrassing to watch. AEW have done nothing to make Wrestling relevant again

The randomness of the booking is a key reason as to why they'll never progress into something much larger. Why the feck does the wider audience care about Bryan Vs Shibata for example? It's just a bunch "dream matches" that a very niche audience cares about.

Leave m'boy alone he's being wronged. Mania week and losing (assumingly) clean to Billy Gunn is rough. The type of shit WWE was slated for, for years.

Orange Cassidy wouldn't be as big as he is now if he were anywhere else, that's one guy they've built up and done well. Even my casual brother knows him and I doubt he's watched a single episode of any wrestling for the past 20 years.

Matt Cardona going from Emma to her. Fair play.

Yeah, tbf, its like how many people say. Its not done as a business to make money but to just have.... fun?
The whole hoping for a five star rating from one guy is another thing which is quite funny.

Also ive enjoyed juice robinson more than Jay White in AEW. Jay Whites run has been underwhelming.

It's been shit and he's surely thinking this week, he could have had a program on mania, instead he's jobbing to Billy fecking Gunn.
