ITS feckING MANIA WEEK BITCHES LET'S GOOOOOO.

In all honesty not been this excited for a mania for years.
We go again.

Although due to injuries and Brock, the card isn't what it should be so not as excited as I've been in the past.

Which means it'll be a banger

Heyman has been surprisingly quiet since The Rock's involvement.

I can't decide whether Heyman's gonna screw Roman (bringing Brock back), or if it will be The Rock doing it. Hell on Smackdown it seemed like Solo could be the one to turn.

Only problem is it seems they are also teasing the end of The Judgment Day too so it's kind of the same.

Watching Smackdown and the hundreds of stables they've got now they just have to do some faction warfare shit soon. Ideal for Survivor Series I suppose.

Isn’t Brock rumoured to be returning? If true they might leave it to the raw after mania (a heel to replace Rock?) - but maybe he’ll appear at mania?

There's a rumoured mystery match apparently.

I hope he takes out Sami and goes for Gunther if he's going to be there.

I'm excited , and hoping for the spectacle of spectacles.

It's always been said solo was sent by higher ups (not brought by roman)
So he answers to somebody that isn't Roman but has been doing things for Roman so far. Would be intriguing if it was the rock as they could easily write that. Solo v Roman, rock v Roman, solo/rock v Roman/Jimmy are easily matches you can do to continue bloodline storyline without the title.
Plus rock v Cody too

Will probably end up being Rikishi :wenger:

Feel like it being a mania with papa Haitch fully in charge,it should be a 2 night banger. It won't be like takeovers, it'll b different and appeal to a wider audience, but still entertaining.

Punk is currently doing an interview with Ariel Helwani, it's very interesting. Going in-depth on his return to WWE and being brutally honest about the Jungle Boy stuff, Tony Khan, Adam Page etc. Well worth watching.

He likes to paint himself as the hero quite a bit but it was 2 hours long and I watched the lot as it was very interesting.

Brutally honest is a hell of a stretch. Guy didn't once say he was in the wrong for anything. Him constantly painting himself as some kind of tough guy as well is laughable. "I'll handle it my way and you won't like it" Purlease.

Saying he could beat Jungle Boy isn't painting himself as a tough guy. A gust of wind would take Jungle Boy out.

Fair point about the "wrong for anything" though. Brutally honest was the wrong phrasing from me, he was open about stuff or willing to talk rather than the straight batting I thought he'd do with the NDA but that only seems to cover whatever happened in that room at Brawl Out.

If he feels he didn’t do anything wrong, why should he? He may well feel unfairly treated. Admittingly this is his version of events and it’s upto to someone else to offer theirs. There's another video with Randy Orton where he is reliving their match from Wrestlemania and he’s honest in there as well.

Fair. It's interesting to hear at least one side of the story and if the Hangman stuff in particular is true then he was definitely in the right there but it's just cringey as feck when a guy of decling years paints himself as some kind of tough guy in response to any slight against him. Grow up FFS. It's not like he came out of the UFC like Brock did either.

I don't think there's many people on either side who don't think Tony Khan was the main problem in all of this. Clearly Colt Cabana was a big issue before he even signed and that was always gonna flare up at some point. It paints him as a weak boss and it seems like he's someone who can't deal with big personalities. In Tony's defence at least it seems like he's not a complete piece of shit like Vince and I'll credit him for bringing in something alternative to WWE when it was crying out for an alternative.

He was involved in two fights at work. He pretty much admits that's how he dealt with it in the interview. That's not how adults behave and settle their differences especially when they have to then go out and pretend fight each other later on that week.

Hysterical interview to be fair. Dudes can interview for sure.... love the baiting of the Bucks to talk about the Brawl, it's clear his NDA is basically exclusive to them, given he's pretty negative about Page and talks about Perry and Khan openly.

The way he talks about AEW not being a business is absolutely accurate though, whether people like it or not, it's reliant on TK using it as his enjoyment, which I find nothing wrong with, because I also find enjoyment from it, I'd find no enjoyment on him spending his money on yachts instead!

Yeah absolutely on that second part. It never has been or never will be a threat to the giant that is the WWE which is why I find it weird that people harbour such hatred for it. I don't remember people hating on ECW that much or maybe they did, I was probably not online as much (if at all) back in those days. Funny as well because they'd have been no attitude era without ECW which is pretty much considered the bench mark and what a lot of fans cling on to still now.

Eh? Does AEW, or specifically Tony Khan try to style the company as more an ECW (who had a working relationship with WWE) or WCW?

Never a threat to WWE but Tony has a meltdown on Twitter at 3 in the morning any time he loses to NXT. The hates not for the misrun company, it's for him.

Well after that there's absolutely no way Cody isn't winning on Night 2 is there? Surely??

Well it's not really Tony's money most reports I've read is his dad let's him spend it as pretty much a tax write off and it's his inheritance now when he's still alive.

The whole cm punk interview is on YouTube. I'm waiting on WON to try twist it to favour aew / bucks.

Saying that, fight or not, it's crazy we didn't get punk v omega and/or punk/ftr v elite. This defo happens under a WWE environment

Reigns is so boring compared to the rock.
Everybody is boring compared to the rock.

Glasgow hosting clash at the castle. Love these international PLEs. Happy for Scotland although I think they could have aimed for a bigger than ovo hydro

Alot of people want AEW to succeed because competition is good for the industry and from a personal point of view, you get to see superstars you might not get to see in WWE. However the model of having wrestlers as EVPs and if its struggling to make money as reported then how long will it last. That's why Tony Khan needs to get someone below him to run it who knows what they are doing so the company has a chance of lasting before he gets bored and walks away leaving the company to fold. In response to not being a threat to WWE, Tony Khan himself has meltdowns on social media and references WWE so he is clearly triggered by them.

Clash at the Castle coming to Glasgow in June. The arena is a 12k seater so tickets are going to be tough to get

Cody sending a signal.

Was 21 years ago last time Rock and Austin faced?

So it looks like it’s happening then, as much fun as it might be personally worried it takes away from Cody’s moment.

Aaah I’m sure it’ll be very sports entertaining!

And isn’t that the main thing. Don’t care too much for Cody’s story, everyone will lose their shit when the glass smashes.
