Television Tho Prop Grops Throps

Brock is a virus for wwe. Sooner Vinve realises the better. It should have been bray wyatt. They could have created a star in one moment but no they again took the easy route and they will suffer.

Otherwise it was a very good Ppv. Aj/rollins was a classic. Really loved the match. Mitb was also good just the result was bad.Bayley winning was also good.

Overall a good ppv.

They're introducing a new title on Raw tonight. Rumour is it's a "legends championship" to be fought for exclusively in Saudi Arabia by all the old men. I hope the crowd shit on it.

feck sakes was hoping hardcore title 24/7 rules in this era would be amazing.

Just been reading about this, not think it'll be a new hardcore championship as it's going to be Mick Foley introducing the belt, they did retire it with him after all?

I hope it is that. Would be much better than some nonsense for ancient wrestlers to fight over.

Was also hoping it was hardcore belt.

Think I’m done with wwe now, same fueds all the time. Having lesnar win MITB is so pointless. Unless he’s full time.

Andrade will be in time when his English improves.

For whatever reason they don't seem to have faith in Balor anymore as a top top guy.

If I was Balor I would go to AEW as soon as possible. He will have no chance in WWE until Vince is dead.

Vince has always loved the big guys.

I've stopped watching WWE as the writing has been so crap. I generally just keep an eye on John Canton's reviews.

Brock inserting himself into the MitB match and winning was ridiculous. Can any wrestler now just intervene in a match that they aren't in and win a title. Also Brock is so boring. What are they thinking? They need to elevate great wrestlers like McIntyre, Balor and Zahn, not rely on a dangerous wrestler who doesn't give a shit about the business.

I was pretty down on the card as you know, but I enjoyed the show. Then Brock happened.

He really doesn’t need the briefcase, it made Sami zayns win to qualify absolutely pointless. Bayley won and cashed in which was a nice moment. But my biggest annoyance is that MITB is the best chance they have to get an upper mid carder to the next level and it was utterly wasted for a cheap swerve. Ruined the night for me.

Does Brock not get a automatic rematch from mania or is that no longer a thing?

Where did you draw that from? Genuine question
He's mocking WWE/Brock for "genius booking" and "the future of the business". Brock is younger than AJ Styles.

Jericho is pushing 50 and is AEW's headline act and shows up to NJPW once or twice a year for a payday. What's the difference? Either the irony is lost on him or he's poking fun at himself too.

Omega is their headline act and Jericho will put him over on Saturday surely, which is what older stars are supposed to do. AJ lost last night and was part of the match of the night (my opinion) and Brock won a briefcase which has the sole purpose of putting over an upper midcarder not putting Brock back on top as he clearly doesn’t need the briefcase.

I think you are wrong my friend.

Jericho is their biggest star, by a giant distance. He's the one who will put butts in seats. I think he's the headline act. Omega's crazy good but he has zero mainstream appeal as it stands.

The briefcase putting over upper midcarders is a valid point but if they play it right, it can be a great story for Ali instead of hotshotting a title on to him right away. He was in the Elimination Chamber and had to be replaced due to injury. That led to Kofi's rise. Last night he was seconds away from winning the MITB before big bad Brock stole it. They could make him a big face.

Yeah I agree on Ali, that match was brilliant last night until Brock. I think that just because the put the briefcase on somebody doesn’t mean they have to cash in straight away. If they hold it for months and build momentum it could be the perfect catalyst.

In terms of jericho, yes he is the biggest name by far, my point is that when Omega beats him (clean hopefully) on Saturday that gets Omega over to a mainstream U.S audience.

AEW are a joke. Made a mess of the Page v PAC match they’ve had booked as one of the headline matches of their first event.

Jericho will beat Omega.

AEW has no heels for Omega to face if he beats Jericho.

Jericho is the mainstream name in a start up promotion, if AEW aren’t complete marks for themselves Jericho will be the first champ.

I hope AEW isn’t just middle
Sized guys doing flips and kicking out of finishers constantly. Do they have any monster type wrestlers on their roster?

I think not having exclusivity on their talent will be a problem too as evidence by this PAC situation.

I’ve considered that to be fair. I just have a bit of a suspicion somebody will turn up unexpectedly. Not sure why or who but I feel that they must have a shock up their sleeve.

Totally agree on that but they have zero big guys as far as I know. Appealing to the Meltzer demographic won't lead to big success. You need guys like Braun to "Wow!" casual watchers.

Luke Harper could've been a good get for them. He's a big dude and has a powerful moveset.

Luke Harper would be great there. Good talker too.

Wonder if aew trying to get cm punk? He probably says no but wonder if an offer was made.
Will be surprised if moxley doesn't appear

Balor, Ali, Ricochet kill themselves, then in comes part time Brock to get the glory. That has to be at least a bit demoralising.

Miz/Shane aside, was a damn good PPV up until the end. Hats off to Dana for improving, she's now surpassed Carmella, which obviously isn't saying much but at least it's something.

Who did Balor piss off to be on the end of those spots last night? They were ridiculous.

As for Carmella, what was going on with her and Mandy? That was just weird.

Apparently they were all told that Ali was going to win right just before they were about to go out they were told that Brock was going to win, Ali must have been pissed right off

I actually think having Ali win would have been the wrong choice. MITB is a pretty heely thing, cashing in on a downed opponent and Ali is pure babyface. He excels as the underdog and his story to a potential title is one that they should take their time with. Andrade would have been a good choice or even the obvious choice in McIntyre would have been better than fecking Brock.

You know who would have been a good surprise entrant, Aleister Black. What the hell's happened to him? Is he injured?

Harper would be perfect there. His being held prisoner though.
Would love Cesaro there too.

Add Punk, Ambrose and gallows & Anderson and then we’re talking. I want AEW to succeed, but the current roster doesn’t excite me.

Nonsense. They’d of known in advance.

Why they didnt just go with a new hardcore title is beyond me.

The idea could be fun though.

 Because what the WWE really needed was more pointless titles.

If it was the Hardcore title being re-introduced again, would have been kinda nice. But having Mick Foley come up and just proudly announce the new 24/7 belt...sheesh. You could see the man die a bit there. Hardcore legend reduced to bigging up a shiny new belt with the same premise with the lamest name ever.
