God damn that's sad. Only Bret left...

Any of you know why he was called The Anvil? Without googling, obviously.

He won some anvil throwing contest when he was younger. He was also a legit hard bastard. It was a mixture of the two that got him the nickname. I saw an interview with Bret talking about it years ago.

Stu Hart entered him into an anvil throwing contest at the Calgary Stampede. And he won.

I don't like last man standing matches. They don't have near falls, near falls to me are a factor that make matches more interesting. That being said, this match will be brutal. They're goal will be to top the brutality of their last match, it's good but at the same time kind of scary.
Yer I’m not a fan of non pinfall or Submission matches, don’t mind the odd Ladder match but they are quite samey. it will be worth a watch just for the sheer brutality of it

As much as I want Brock to no longer be hogging that championship I hope he beats Roman and beats him bad. Then just let KO or Braun beat him a few minutes after.

I was hoping they were away to set up a Hayman Roman connection, that would be brilliant just make him a heal already.

Ambrose been in the gym getting hench or is it just the new haircut making him look bigger.

Looks like HHH

BIG E needs a singles title push, he is ready. He just has that something that makes him entertaining and likeable. Who do Smackdown have as top Faces currently, AJ. Possibly Rusev and I think they plan to have Jeff in that role as well.

Also, no man that size should ever wear a swimsuit Killian. It was disturbing, but I guess that was the point. Kinda a throwback to Earthquake and Typhoon. Legends.

It was but he apologised a few more times after that too and on his website, according to Reddit.

I don't even like the guy and I think the way the some internet fans worship his every word is weird but it was a mildly offensive remark at worst and the way some wrestlers are piling in after the apologies is just cnut-ish.

Hogan was hired back a few weeks ago, a guy who said "I'm a racist. Fecking n*****s." and all these guys said nothing. The men went to Saudi Arabia to pick up some fat cheques a few months and the women weren't allowed but now some guy on Twitter says "She was lighter in NXT" and lots of them are like "How dare you?" Tools.

I just hate this shit of mistakes being over-punished by social media brigading.

Rather lesnar wins and owens ends the night as champion or romans wins and hols the belt for six months for roman's "coronation" story to finally end.

I didn't mean to bold Roman. I think we're getting a KO cash in after Roman has Lesnar beat, but not actually getting the win.

Yeah I fear if that happens they would keep roman chasing until he wins.

If KO does end the night champion in the manner I've predicted, I think Braun's winning it off him at the next PPV, or the one after that at the very latest, then Roman's duking it out with Braun, toppling the monster to win it.

Is Takeover starting at 11pm gmt?

Preshow starts at 11pm so I'm guessing proper show starts at 12.

So whos up and watching? First time in ages im watching live. Gonna watch whole weekend worth as both cards look great.

Expecting Ambrose to turn on Rollins.
Hoping Becky wins the title. Really hoping she wins it. (but can see Carmella taking advantage of a charlotte/becky screw up)
Think Rousey should win the title. (Would love to see them do a Rousey vs Baszler match down the line. Baszler is good).

Shame they teased Heyman leaving Brock, cos it would have been nice to see him do what he did at Survivor Series ages ago, help Brock retain the title but then screw him out of it against Owens

Also I like how theyve turned A.Blacks injury into a who did it storyline.

I am.
Wouldn’t be surprised if Gargano and Ciampa ended in a double count-out, going down the route of Okada & Omega. Hopefully it ends with a 3 stages of hell Match

I'll watch the first hour but I've got work in the morning. I'm expecting Charlotte to win the title, turn heel and then Becky feuds with her before ultimately winning it, only reason why they would stick Charlotte in the match. Anything else and I call bullshit, especially Carmella retaining.

Hopefully Black's storyline doesn't go the same way as Itami's did, but then he ended up being injured so long that any possible culprit was probably called up by that point.
