Apparently Meltzer says that Maroon, the WWE head doctor, told him to get the opinion of three doctors he would listen to and then he would give it the go-ahead.

Plus I doubt WWE would open themselves up to something that could backfire when they're in the middle of a class-action lawsuit with former wrestlers dealing with concussion injuries. They'd want this to be 200% clear.

He's always been cleared by doctors except the one that mattered, the wwe one

This is great news though
Him vs miz is the match that should happen
Him and Shane vs zayn and Owens most likely, would be something if they try turn him on Shane cos he will still get cheered

I think they’ll turn Shane.. then have DB go back to being a wrestler and have him be the good fighting the bad ‘authority’ of Shane, KO and Sami... sounds familiar

Forgot to say about Raw, one of the funniest bits was when Reigns was being put on the stretcher and a portion of the crowd started to chant “you deserve it”

Surprised Bryan was announced like this instead of him just giving someone a beat down.

Ratings.

It was the smart thing to do. Sure, we missed out on shock factor. But using myself for example, I would have gone straight to sleep last night, but as they announced Bryan, I watched the first 20 minutes, and was entertained. Quite smart on their behalf tbh.

Yeah i’d Imagine last nights Smackdowns ratings were up there. Think I saw they said they were trending number 1. Also as you said ratings and you have to sell a match.

This man single-handedly reignited my love for wrestling again after John Cena, Dixie Carter, Vince Russo Hogan and Bischoff almost killed it.
Don't do this. I'm already dreaming about Bryan vs Angle at WM35.
That would've been a great match but watching Angle now is just sad. I'm just thankful he can still walk.

Reminds me of what Paul Heyman's big plan was for TNA around 2006 when they were wanting him to come in. He wanted to bring Bryan in, have him go on a Samoa Joe-esque run of dominance - making everyone tap out, for him to finally meet Angle. Sadly, Heyman wanted full control and TNA wouldn't give him it so that was the end of that idea.
Never watched when he was wrestling. Why do people love him so much?
He's one of the best wrestlers I've ever watched (up there with Angle and Bret Hart for me) and is a genuinely nice guy. Plus, I think his portrayal of being certain characters is underrated. Yes, he's a cookie-cutter babyface now, but he played a funny douchebag heel when he was the World Heavyweight Champion and, in ROH, he was pretty badass as the American Dragon.

Also, for what it's worth, as a cookie-cutter babyface, he was probably the most over as one since Hogan seeing as Austin/Rock/Punk were all kinda tweeners and, along with The Rock, was one of the very, very few guys to get to the top without playing politics backstage.

The next moment Bryan paralyzed on the ring will be clusterfeck. WWE know this year Mania already unsaveable after all of people know what will happen from one year prior. Last card they hold is Bryan, so throw him up, hurray, many people will show up. Would not surprise me if they save Bryan just for Mania only to wrestling 5mins max.

You have Aj Vs Nakamura, Cena Vs Taker, Balor Vs Rollins Vs Miz, Usos Vs New Day Vs TBB and even a women's dream match with Charlotte Vs Asuka. How a match card like this is unsaveable?

Yeah it's actually decent on paper.

I think its looking fantastic now.
Taker (hopefully american badass) vs Cena could be a spectacle.
Brock vs Reigns will be intriguing
Then: IC title, womens title and SD world title should all be fantastic.

Its not all dominated by oldies and part timers thankfully.
The only question is what goes on last.

Honestly, I only care about a potential Bryan match. Everything else doesn't do anything for me.

Its a very good looking card that will be ruined by time constraints. There's going to probably be 11 matches, plus another 3 on the preshow. Half will likely be a let down but as long as AJ vs Nakamura gets enough time I'll be happy.

Damn, I’ll watch WWE just for DB’s comeback.

Too bad this couldn’t be announced earlier, imagine if he came in for Royal Rumble and came in as the last wrestler. The crowd would shit it and go absolutely crazy.

It would have a negative effect on Nak though, just like it did when Reigns won

I don't think it'd have been as bad as the '14 and '15 Royal Rumbles because a lot of people wanted Nakamura to get his chance to shine unlike with Reigns and Batista where the fans knew they were being shoved down our throats despite the clamouring for Bryan. I think it'd have been like if Punk had won the '14 one where there would have been disappointment that it wasn't Bryan but because it was one of the most over wrestlers on the roster there wouldn't have been mayhem.

As a huge Bryan fan and someone who isn't into Nakamura much, I wouldn't have been as disappointed as I was back during the '14 and '15 Rumbles.

You would be lying to yourself if you think Brock v Reigns wont go last as ME. It has been dead cert since last year. And whats intriguing about that match? Are you sure Brock will come out as a winner?
Taker is all but done as wrestler. Look at stated of him on last RAW 25. And you want him appear as American Badass? You want him dead on ring? Last year Taker's matched was painfull because Reigns cant carried that match. I just hope Cena can do Taker justice once and for all.
Tbh, some of it looks good like AJ Nak, Charlotte Asuka, but with 15 cards cramping into almost a day long, commercial here and there, some of it would be bound to 5mins max. Its too many for one night.

Your negativity wont dampen me looking forward to it ;)
Besides, its wrestling, most of the outcomes are obvious. But we dont watch for that, we watch for other aspects. Brock/Reigns for me is intriguing to see how the match goes, the crowd reaction and the aftermath.
Taker as american badass makes more sense than deadman taker given the build.

It might be too many but youre basically giving it no chance before its happened. But how is that 'unsaveable' as your initial comment stated?

Yeah.

He's being overly negative for little reason..

This is a very good card.

Roman going on last means I can just miss it last the time I watched a live WM. I'm excited.

I don't care which one will go last. It's a match card full of dream matches for a lot of fans. For the first time in a long time they giving fans what they want and they are the matches that I mentioned before. They are giving me at least 5 matches that I am very very excited about them, let them have one that they want. I don't care about Roman.

About Taker Vs Cena, everyone knows that it's too late and the match itself isn't going to be that great, but the people around taker say he has the best shape in last 3 4 years where he always carried injuries and Cena is in the prime of his career in terms of in ring action. It will be a good match, we know it won't be great. But anyway I don't care about the match, they can stand in that ring for 20 minutes and do nothing and the crowd will be excited for it because god damn it it's Cena Vs Taker.

Really like the the look of WM34 so far. I do think it's going to be a bit too long as there's so much to pack in, but we'll probably end up with some quite big matches on the pre-show as a result of this:

Confirmed Matches

Brock Lesnar (c) vs. Roman Reigns
AJ Styles (c) vs. Shinsuke Nakamura
The Miz (c) vs. Seth Rollins vs. Finn Bálor
Randy Orton (c) vs. Bobby Roode vs. Jinder Mahal
Alexa Bliss (c) vs. Nia Jax
Charlotte Flair (c) vs. Asuka
The Bar (c) vs. Braun Strowman & TBA
Cedric Alexander vs. Mustafa Ali
Kurt Angle & Ronda Rousey vs. HHH & Stephanie McMahon
Women's Battle Royal - Sasha Banks, Becky Lynch, Liv Morgan, Naomi, Natalya, Ruby Riott, more TBA
André the Giant Battle Royal - Dash Wilder, Scott Dawson, Baron Corbin, Mojo Rawley, Tye Dellinger, Titus O'Neil, Apollo Crews

Expected Matches

The Undertaker vs. John Cena
Daniel Bryan & Shane McMahon vs. Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn
The Usos (c) vs. The New Day vs. The Bludgeon Brothers

Women's Battle Royal will probably include every other female wrestler on the roster, so: Bayley, Dana Brooke, Mandy Rose, Sonya Deville, Lana and maybe Mickie James, Carmella and the Bellas. Mickie could be left out to be in Alexa's corner, while Carmella may be left out for a cash-in. Alicia Fox and Tamina are injured. The rest of the numbers will be made up from NXT stars and maybe the odd Hall of Fame star.

Men's Battle Royal has a lot more to name, but the 'bigger' names that may just have to deal with being in this match rather than having a bit more of a spotlight are likely to be: Bray Wyatt, Matt & Jeff Hardy (I can't see that story going any further now), Dolph Ziggler & Rusev (unless they sneaks into the US Title picture). There's also Kane & Elias, the latter I think is almost nailed on to be Braun's tag team partner. Kane would also make sense, but due to the election he can't commit to full-time work in the WWE. It'd be a bit flat to retire without doing something at this event, so maybe he'll be in this match and win it, or be the last to be eliminated to put someone over again. NXT & 205 Live will make up some big numbers probably pushing this close to 40 guys.

So, 14 matches guaranteed to happen IMO. At least three will be on the pre-show - the Cruiserweight Title Match and the Battle Royals. It's a bit hard to demote any of those other matches to pre-show, so maybe they'll be another smaller level match added to it. Could be something involving Bray and Hardy, but that Ultimate Deletion thing on Raw seemed like a good closer.

Injured male wrestlers with no sign of a return in time: Samoa Joe, Big Cass, Big Show, Jason Jordan, Dean Ambrose, R-Truth and a couple other nobody's in the grand scheme of things.

Regarding Woken Matt it has only just started there is far more planned to come.

Thanks ^^^^^^.

Don't read if you don't like possible spoilers.

I have heard on the grapevine that Neville is in discussions about a return. If it happens there are two options - return after WM in April or there could be a reason Strowman doesn't have a tag partner as yet .........

Elias would be great with brawn. Would remind me of the Daniel Bryan Kane partnership..

Wrestlemania 20 had twelve matches, and lasted four (I think) hours. The matches had an average length of about twelve minutes (ranging from 2:41 for a women's match which nobody cared about, to 24:51 for the main event). Also the show was amazing. Also this Wrestlemania is going to be like eight hours long or something.

So we're fine.

Has anyone seen this new WWE tshirts? The OGBC ones for Finn,Gallows and Anderson. I want one, another move that should be intresting to see how the bullet club as it is now responds.

I re-watched summerslam 2002 tonight. Christ, I forgot that nearly every match was a classic.

They should have these lads do all the themes at Wrestlemania. (It's a medley of themes for those thinking it's just Cena's by the video title).

I had that recorded on VHS for the longest time and re-watched it over and over again. What a PPV. I think my favourite match was Angle-Mysterio.

Absolutely amazing mate. What an absolute monster Lesnar was back then too.
