Adding all the segments, matches and feuds over all those hours of TV and PPVs you can't think of more then 5? Sure lot of shit in that but still.
Wasn't it Jimmy Jacobs who then worked for creative. I don't think it's fair to not give them credit when they do the good things, say it's the wrestlers and just say all the bad thing is there fault.
With Omega I doubt he will to be honest. Although if he was to go to WWE I think he'd get the AJ Styles treatment over Nakamura but still I think can't see him going anytime soon. With ROH and NJ on such a rise. He seems like the guy to see that through.
Segments and storyline wise then no I can't. The only things I really liked was the return of the Hardys, the Usos \ New Day feud (in the ring), The rise of Braun and that is about it.
When you look at the other main talking points in WWE 2017:
-
The Shield: I liked the idea of the reunion originally, but this was only done for 3 reasons:
(1) To get Roman over because everything else they have tried hasn't worked. This hasn't so far either.
(2) Because they killed Seth when bringing him back heel after his injury. Like why would you do that?. 'Wacky' Dean Ambrose was in danger of becoming Dolph Ziggler mark 2. Fans had just about stopped caring for him. Truth be told they crapped the bed with Ambrose with the Brock WM match a year or 2 back, that killed him. And reason
(3) To prolong time. Put them in a program to delay things as they didn't have any storylines.
-
Money in the Bank: Had Baron Corbin (who the fans hate, not for being a heel, but for being rubbish) win and then lose it in a stupid manner. The Women's ending was that messed up they had to repeat the match on SD 2 nights later.
-
The promotion of NXT wrestlers: Nakamura they have turned into a laughing stock. Asuka is floundering. Tye Dillinger, don't need to say anymore. Jury is out on Riot Squad. Mandy Rose can't wrestle (although gorgeous). Revival have been unlucky with injuries, but overall it is hardly encouraging the promotion scheme over the last 18 months.
-
Undertakers 'final' match: If it was to be his last match, then what a stinker that was.
-
Jinder experiment: I applaud them for trying something different with him. But it never stuck and continued forever and ever.... and ever. Then had him job in his 'home country' to Triple H
.
-
Brock Lesnar matches: Brock is so stale now it's beyond a joke. He clearly doesn't want to be there. When you struggle to get a decent match with AJ Styles then you know something is wrong.
-
Emmalina: Took forever to debut. Was dead on arrival. Sacked a few months later. Great.
-
The decline of Smackdown: Hard to believe a year ago SD was probably the better show. Not sure if it has anything to do with Road Dogg becoming a head writer, but since then it's fell off a cliff and is barely watchable now.
I could go on, honestly. Sound like a negative Nancy but it's just the truth. Ratings agree with me.
