Television Tho Prop Grops Throps

I think he was showing how badly he was taken down by Braun. Think theres a video of him cheering and collapsing in the ring too

What a horrendous main event. There's something seriously wrong if you have that kind of talent and the only good bits are the little teases and moments when the guys face off near the beginning. Compare it to last years one which interwove a number of different storylines for everyone while not being loaded up on part timers and at least gave the spotlight to some different faces.

Women's match was a mess too. Who the hell thought it was a good idea to eliminate by far the most talented worker on the Smackdown team after 2 minutes and put any sort of attention on Tamina.

Mens match did the same thing as the womens, kinda. It took the best workers out or limited them. Finn hardly had time in the match. Cena hardly had any time in the match Nakamura and Roode were gone quick time. Orton looked like it was one of those where he just couldnt be bothered.

Braun was already over.

Why not have Nakamura or Roode eliminate someone?

I'm one of the few who enjoyed the main event and the whole show from start to finish.
Aj again proving he is the best in wwe right now. Even dragged a good match out of that flabby squeeqy voiced ginger gimp.

main event was an absolute mess.

owens and zayn's interference was useless and ended with shane chasing them off with a chair like some old bloke getting rid of teenagers off his porch.

already over braun was the last man standing but didn't actually get to end the match.

they teased jordan interference and that went nowhere, even after trips eliminated his biological father.

orton somehow managed to reach new levels of phoning it in, and was the last proper wrestler standing for smackdown.

shane was the last man standing for smackdown.

the two smackdown newcomers (at 37 and 40 respectively) were the first two eliminated for them.

the two raw newcomers (at 38 and 36 respectively) were the first two eliminated for them.

cena seemed to somehow give even less of a shit than orton. turned up in green, shuffled about in the ring with angle, no sold the coup de gras, generally acted like he couldn't be arsed.

i can understand getting braun over, but why did triple h and shane (and a lesser extent orton and angle) need protecting at the expense of everyone else?

Always felt that WCW was the land of the stars of yesterday trying to stay relevant and WWE was the place to push on.

Theyve become late 90s WCW. Felt TNA was going to be the company that knocked them off the perch (like they did in the 90s), but they fecked. ROH has been around for a while but its probably at the best its ever been right now in terms of coverage and publicity. Perhaps competition from them can make Vince see sense.

And its quite funny given the Monday night wars series they produced and saying this is what cost WCW (and now its their default setting, pushing old people and part timers over the people who do all the work for most of the year).
Then are destroyed in the big PPVs and then wonder why nobody gives a shit about them the rest of the year.

Throw in the fact we just had NXT war games (so probably gonna have a war games match on the main roster soon), its almost as if theyre playing a practical joke and seeing how far they can go with it.

Maybe start calling NXT Wednesday night nitro.

TBF the youngest member of Smackdown did Eliminate someone, Orton pinned Balor, good to see Smackdown pushing the youngsters :wenger:.
Who knows, Cena, Orton, Shane, HHH and Kurt were the last people who needed to pick up pinfalls

Does Triple H having 2 theme songs not bug anyone else? Maybe because its him.

I'd lose my shit if Jason Jordan went over triple H clean, and i dont even like the kid all that much.

My ratings for the matches:

Did not bothered for pre-show.

Shield vs New Day: 7, some nice spots and a fun match overall. Could have been better given the talent on disposal.

Women Survivor series: 5, would have given 2, but Asuka being given dominant show prompted me to give 5.

Corbain vs The Miz: 6, served the purpose of making Corbain strong. And it is good, Corbain is fine in my opinion, and losses do not harm Miz at all.

Usos vs The Bar: 8.5, Match of the night for me. Usos have to be the most improved team/wrestlers in the whole world. Their in ring talent was never in doubt but since turning heel, they have become one of my favorites, and I find them extremely entertaining. Plus their matches are always great. Plus The Bar has Cesaro, arguably the best wrestler in raw.

Alexa vs Charlotte: 7.5, I thought this match might be a bland one, but Miss Bliss makes up for in ring technical lacking with her psychology and body language, that attacking and slowly working on Charlotte's ribs was mint stuff. Charlotte is a excellent athlete and I don't think there are things which are more beautiful in wrestling ring than her moonsault.
Although result was predictable given the overall scores, but it was a solid match wrestling wise.

Aj Styles vs Lesner: 8, arguably as good the tag match, but one F-5? the guy who kicked out of nearly 3 AAs, cannot with stand 1 F5?? but I kinda get it, if Braun cannot last 1 F5, than nobody should(that mother fecker Roman will). But otherwise, a very good match as AJ Styles did gave Lesnar a fight worthy. My favorite moment, Lesnar just smashing AJ"s head to get out of calf-crusher, damn that was intense.

Main event: 6. Disappointing. I love HHH, but dude should just let of his ego. The match had Joe, Braun, Finn, Nakamura, Roode and Cena.
And the match was decided between Kurt, Shane and himself?? Bleh.
Why not rather have Zayn and Kevin in place of Cena and Orton, and have them betray Shane in the end, given Owen's prize fighter gimmick. WOuld have been more interesting.

Mandy Rose is something special
I follow he on Instagram but really you don’t notice how built she is till she is standing next to others. She got some shoulders on her, then that posterior. Did see her deadlift 120kg with chains on it also the other day sooo she seriously strong!!

Woman’s division just became seriously intresting again as it was going a little stale. Honestly seeing Bayley and Banks come out again I was thinking not this rubbish again then game changer. Something looked different about Paige, not sure what tho. Did she grow taller or is she just slimmer or something.

The other giri can’t remeber her name but her saying “that’s right baby!!’ Repeatedly in quick succession just seemed weird.

The only thing missing last night was they should have found Nia and given her a beat down as well.

Crowd last night were the best they’ve been in ages.

Post-Del Rio glow.

According to Meltzer:

On tonight's WOR, Meltzer indicated that the Royal Rumble Main Event has changed. It was slated to be Finn Balor vs Brock Lesnar for the Universal Championship. The Main Event now is up in the air.

"So the Royal Rumble Main Event was scheduled to be Brock Lesnar vs Finn Balor for the Universal Championship. And obviously, if you watched the show last night, you probably would come to the conclusion that’s probably not the direction they were going to go. And if you watched Raw tonight, I think that you would empathically realize that had to have changed. So what I was told was that the official change was actually made this morning. But it was definitely talked about yesterday. Vince McMahon felt that Finn Balor wasn’t over enough. I think obviously he decided even before, with how that match was laid out. Finn Balor wasn’t put in that match to shine."

"Vince McMahon felt that Finn Balor wasn’t over enough" ... No feckin' shit Vince... book a guy to not win for a month after being hot in a match vs. Styles and yer man won't be over. Go figure.

The way I would have ended Survivor Series main event (once the remaining members were HHH, Braun and Shane).

HHH betrays Kurt Angle.
Braun tags himself in and walks out, leaving HHH and Shane the last two.
HHH gives Shane a beat down and is about to win.
Jason Jordan comes in and costs HHH the match.
Start a storyline with Angle, Jordan and Braun vs. The Authority, which would include HHH, someone to face Jordan and Kane.

If they insisted with having HHH being the focus, I'd have at least had him use Joe to kill everyone (including Braun once he got pissed off) thus you at least get to build up Joe in being in allied with HHH.

Also Reigns isn’t over, and he gets to beat the Miz to win the IC and become a grand slam champion.

Probably not too bad for Finn anyway, doubt it be much more than a squash match anyway

It would probably be Lesnar beating Demon Finn.
So Roman would beat the guy that destroyed / conquered Demon, AJ, Braun, Joe, Goldberg.

You know what is really annoying. We all pretty much know when Brock drops the title it’ll be to Roman. They’ve built Brock to such an extent that it’ll take someone superhuman to beat him.

If also he somehow drops it to someone else the whole immortal Brock thing seems kind of pointless unless we get another money in the bank situation.

I don’t even know why I watch wrestling any more as it annoys the feck out of me but foook do I love it!!

Would be hilarious if the ultimate loser (that would be Bray Wyatt) slays the beast... but in reality, we all know how that programme would go:

90% Bray chatting shit then getting his ass handed to him

I actually want Bray to interrupt Brock and to get destroyed straight away.

I also want to see a competitive match between Rusev and Brock. That would be fun.

I just want Rusev to be doing something, ideally feuding with AJ for the title but even just a feud with Corbin for the US title, the guy is totally wasted. I vaguely remember them saying on Sunday that Jinder's rematch is tonight, please just get that over with nice and quickly so we can all move on.

Erm apparently Jinder vs Styles is the main event for the next PPV. Jinder ain’t going nowhere for now it seems.

Just caught up with NXT and SS. That main event, dear God. Straight out of WCW or TNA.

God damn how could I forget about Bray  did we ever see Sister Abigail or did his illness save us from that absolute shit show of a storyline with Finn. That bout of mono probably the best thing to happen to him in years.
I just don’t get Brey, he had promise, the Wyatts were intresting at least even if he rarely seemed to wrestle.

Off topic watching Smackdown now but need to be up at 6am:confused: what am I doing to myself.
more NXT ladies just put a beatdown on Becky and Feel the glow, no feel this boot....

Cant work out this Bryan/Shane angle. Deffo going to have a falling out obviously, probably something for the rumble but cant work out whos turning heel. You'd think Bryan, but shanes been a bit of a cnut this past month or so.

Mandy Rose is smokin' hot. Haven't caught her work on NXT, but goddamn!
