Things I Like About Steven Gerrard

The Slip. He was a good player for England to be fair, but never replicated his best for England. Oh, and The Slip. And he was magnificent in that Champions League Final, to be fair. But first and foremost, "We cannot let this slip!" And then he slipped. Yeah, The Slip.

He's highly rated by his current manager.

To be fair Keane-Scholes is obviously the only choice for CM in a EPL all time XI. It's no disrespect to Gerrard that he can't get in ahead of those 2.

He has one thing in common with the caf members. The amount of PL medals.

His ability to behave completely rationally and not lamp someone in the face just because they won't play phil bleedin' collins.

His balding-retardant hairline. It could recede for 10 years and it still wouldn't look like receding hairline.

His accent is scouse but it is less scouse than Jamie Carragher's scouse accent.

He was a fantastic midfielder who inspired his side to often perform above their true ability and often showed up when it mattered most. And the most noticeable time he didn't, City won the league. Am I doing it right?

He prefers ending his career in second rate league than joining the one man club list for Liverpool.

What I like about him is that he never won the league. Fair play to him. #respect

He made his "fans" burn his shirt outside of Melwood

What I like about him is that he never won the league. Fair play to him. #respect
He's been so selfless over his career by letting others have it. #respect

That he never dived, jumped in 2 footed or stamped on an opponent. Always played fair!

He's solely responsible for Liverpool not winning the PL last season. Had he not slipped, Liverpool would have won their first league title in 20+ years. I like that about him, I guess.

Not really, they still only drew with Palace. Also I'm sure he contributed to some points before that to put them in a position to win the title.

I've loved to hate him over the years but it just comes across as bitter when people say stuff like you've just posted. Great player, love it that he never won a title but you have to admire his loyalty.
