I think this saga is done, one way or another.

Thiago will have made his mind up one way or another already, whether that is to join us or not is impossible to tell at this stage.

There's no way he's mulling over it anymore.

Agreed the fact that his comfortably chilling on yachet makes me think it's just waiting an annocement.

What do some of you lot expect? Moyes is taking on the hardest job in football and you expect there to be announcement about a transfer prior to his appointment into the role.

Sure. That isn't a guaranteed method to completely undermine the man's authority before he's even started......

People make it sound like we're trying to sign a player without even consulting Moyes. The 'illusion' is that he's not there but he don't have to be and I'm perfectly certain should we sign this player, it will be because of his input. When we announce is irrelevant. We're not one of those clubs who have people interfering. If we conclude the deal it'll be because Moyes wanted us too. This talk of 'wouldn't be a Moyes signing' is nonsense. The fact is, it's irrelevant.

He could sign the next Ronaldo. All that matters, is being able to manage the player. That's the important thing. I don't know why people get caught up in these things. If we sign Thiago, it'll be a Moyes signing irrespective of location.

To be fair though would we try and sign Thiago without Moyes' consent anyway?.

Is he the type of player you sign whenever you get the chance, whether the manager wants him or not?.

101 great goals has posted the Thiago terminator GIF. Jeston is famous!

In regards to all this talk of possibly undermining Moyes, Fergie was always very hands-on when it came to transfers and the targets he wished to pursue, and it was always him who unveiled his man. That's almost become old fashioned in football now, and it's the big boys upstairs wielding the company credit cards nowadays

Do we expect United to continue in the same vein as previously now that the post-Fergie era is in effect? Will it be Moyes who names his target, does the deal and unveils the player, or are we expecting Woodward to take Daniel Levy-style approach?

They won't have tried to sign anyone without Moyes approval.

Of course Moyes has approved it - but there isn't a single manager in the world who would turn down the chance to sign him.

And Thiago has decided - that seems fairly obvious. He has without a doubt told his agent and Barcelona what he wants for next season. We just have to hope it is us...

The lack of news could also be good news...it could simply be that other rivalling clubs have pulled out because he HAS decided and they have been told.

Indeed. Just like when it all went a bit silent for a while in the RVP saga and posters were getting all negative and impatient because nothing much was happening. Then out of nowhere it was announced that a deal had been agreed with Arsenal.

Calm before the storm.

Moyes apparently watched Thiago at Everton and wanted him but Everton don't have the resources to buy him. Now he has it at United, can't see why he would reject him now

I disagree about Fergie being hands on. He obviously chose his targets but his involvement in transfers has changed over the years and he's been involved less and less, certainly in negotiations. Obviously he stepped in more when needed, like to convince a player or work on Wenger with RVP last year. Even unveiling hasn't been the same in recent times. Maybe times we just announce we've signed someone through the website and that's that.

It's not going to change under Moyes. I doubt many or any managers really deal with the financial stuff.

I think you right, but I do think the managers will be asked what they think the players is worth, and what a club should pay.

Now I just sit back and wait for the Bitcoins to roll in

Congrats Jeston :D

Couldn't have done it without you, Master.

Come on Olly, show that you can do better, that you're still the gif Master!

It's like moyes has sent thiago to an FBI safe house, waiting for the all clear that the shit storm has finished.

Until then he has the trouble of living the life of luxury on a 5* yacht.

 congrats Jeston, and to think the gif was removed from this thread :(

Jeston is a superstar now. I hope some Real Madrid forum doesn't come sniffing around. Rumors say he always dreamt of creating galactico GIFs when he was younger. :(

I am not sure if we are still allowed to post tweets in here anymore but I just wanted to ask if anyone on Twitter is familiar with this guy:

Adam J. S. @DoctorAdamJ1d
According to a friend of mine in Barcelona, #mufc have today reached agreement with Barca and Thiago. No official confirmation yet.

He has around 18k followers. I was going to wait until official confirmation but I wanted to check this as I saw it earlier today.
