You're right. It's a bit like Suarez, when most Liverpool fans claimed he was Dalglish signing (scraping for KD good deed).

He hasn't been a consistent starter yet for his team, hasn't played a minute for United yet. I think it's fair to say that he shouldn't be getting ridiculous wages right off the bat, we're not City, and he's so young that he's bound to get better and along with that his wage will rise, shit it might even take a single season for that to happen, I just don't think it'd be exactly fair, even though he's a fecking fanstastic prospect and has more than a good chance of succeeding here by the looks of things. He's still got to play well for United before getting the big bucks (besides it's not all about money for him, and I doubt the initial wage offered would be small anyway)
 
It don't matter lads who's signing it was :) He'll be playing under Moyes and hopefully he'll flourish under Moyes. Its not hard to spot a talent. You have to deal with that player.

I'm not sure if you've grasped it yet, but even the first post of mine that you quoted was a joke. I tried to make it more obvious in the 2nd one :p

I don't think Thiago's as raw as either of those two were when we signed them. Well, maybe De Gea, but it's hard to compare keepers and outfield players. In Guardiola's last season, Thiago essentially played a full role. Started something like 38 matches. And his game is very settled and mature, with few signs of inconsistency. Remember that he's 22, whereas De Gea and Ronaldo were both teenagers when we signed them.

I reckon there's little risk that he'd flop or underperform with us. He'll be bought to play in the right position, so we hopefully wouldn't see him 'do an Anderson'. And we'd be buying him just that little bit later in his development, so hopefully he wouldn't have to endure that 'ease him in gently' period which seems to do more harm than good for a lot of young players.
 
I think it's time we start considering how he'll be revealed in front of Old Trafford. I think he should come in a helicopter and land in the middle of the pitch. that should show that neymar fellow

I know it wasn't a "serious" post, that much was obvious. But this thread has "love is in the air" written all over it :D I just couldn't tell whether it was a "c'mon, bite" joke or just blatantly going ott for shits & giggles :D

To be fair to Moyes, they've been saying all along that he has been an admirer even whilst at Everton.

Must come as a surprise to some that Moyes would be interested in such a player, considering he was going to have us playing long balls to the front men according to some on here.

We should do something along the lines of the Trophy parade. Lunatic fans swinging from scaffolding just to get a wave from Thiago. Plausible, I reckon.
 
Anything happen these last 5-6 hours while I was asleep? Does it seems like he'll sign today? I don't think I can wait another whole weekend :(
 
I heard that Thiago has this release clause right, so we might make a move for him during this transfer window. Other clubs might outbid us though, especially as that hat trick in the Euros means he is now worth £100million. Oh well :(
