Yep, besides Croatia should have had a penalty as well when Umtiti was holding Mandzukic. Daylight robbery, France was obviously the sponsor's choice.

If thongs don't go wrong (they usually do) France will be even more frightening in the future. The likes of Mbappe, Pogba, Umtiti, Varane will be even better, the likes of Dembele, Coman, Martial might go up a level or two, heck even Griezmann will be just 31. Essentially, all the important players will be there.

They do and in 2014 when Germany gave 4 to Portugal I had to leave the cafe' because they didn't stop making fun of us - except a few Brazilian friends. But this WC after Portugal I wanted Brazil to win and I think the game against Belgium was an off game because they are better than Belgium and probably France.

Why though? For big decisions it is the best thing to give all the tools to the ref to make the right decision. If he still fecks it up (I think that he made the correct decision today), then he is to be blamed.

Ill look again, but thought Griezmann dove before contact was made. On the VAR isnt that the rule? I agree with you, all it is is a tool to give a clear view for refs to see what they missed. Think the rule is that if its a 50/50 call like that pen then they shouldnt intervene. Think it was a pen too, but it is very marginal anyway.
