Gaming The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

Well i tried the latest patch on pc and it runs very poorly im a few hours into my ng+ save on ps5 and think i cant be bothered to start all over again.
I'd say stick with that, overall it's a very enjoyable experience on console but it's obviously up to you.

The new quest is actually fantastic. Pleasantly surprised by it and how well the incorporated the armour from the tv show into the game.

Whats it called and where?

I finished the Hearts of Stone DLC before finding a certain character and finishing the main story and there's some nice little touches. Game was made with so much love and has a depth to consequences that so many other games neglect.

Having O'dimm tell you how to get the good ending for the main game was a pretty interesting touch; he is evil but he is fair I guess. I'm on deathmarch difficulty so i didn't fancy all the hard work in getting the good ending for the DLC so I just let the bad thing thing happen :(

The enhanced edition has just made this more so the best game ever.

It's held up so well, with a new lick of paint you could mistake it for a genuine next gen title.

I'm absolutely loving it, again.

It's such an amazing game, I decided to start another playthrough just to check what it looked like and am now 30 hours in and going for every question mark on the map again. The side quests are so good.

Oh great got a game breaking bug just that doesnt allow me to trigger the final quest of rhe main story. I can see im not the only one.

Finished the main quest and HoS DLC, basically my entire holiday was spent playing this. Brilliant game even allowing for the glitchiness that still persists. On to Blood and Wine.

I got the bittersweet ending with Ciri agreeing to be empress which doesn't seem too bad to me. I thought i made every good decision to get the best ending but it's not a big deal. One thing i was slightly disappointed by was picking Hljelmar (spelling?!) as king seems such an obvious bad choice but i didn't like the way the game always pushed me into picking his sister on previous playthroughs who seemed naturally the better option, so i decided to go with the brother this time. I felt in a game where not everything is black and white that the choice could have been a better. He's a good character but he's basically a bit of an idiot who will plunge his people into war for the old traditions.

Almost got the platinum for the second time, only got that stupid crossbow trophy to get...dread to think how many hours i've put into this game  :nervous:

Really can't wait for a new witcher title!

Right. Time to jump back in. I don’t think I ever finished this.

It's just one of those games that need to click I think. Usually around the Bloody Baron quest for most but can take a bit longer for some.

I didn't even touch Gwent on my first playthrough and absolutely loving it now, it's all I can think about playing.

It’s literally the first thing I’ve looked for upon starting. Loved a bit of Gwent.

Dunno why but I just can't bring myself to play it often so failed a few quests because of it.

Proper jarring when you walk through a little town and there’s about 10 people speaking at once

Those Northern Realm cards in Gwent are OP as hell when you stack up those spy, decoy and healing cards. Unbeatable.

Meant to be saving some village from nightwraith attacks but I'm running around collecting up Gwent Hero cards.

Pfft. Who wants to do those boring side quests when collecting cards is the main quest in the game.

I'm nearing 70hrs on my 3rd playthrough now and I still haven't gotten around to meet Ciri on that island whereas my Gwent collection is almost completed. Only need to finish the tournament.

Blood and Wine is still the best DLC i've ever played (Bloodborne DLC was excellent too). I read someone comment that it's plot is kind of fan service and maybe that's the case, but it feels nice in such a relentlessly grim world to have a bit of colour.

Playing with the Skellige card deck was daunting at first but it's a pretty decent deck.

Blood and Wine really felt like one of those old school expansion passes, before DLC was a thing even though it's pretty much the same. Tonnes of content, almost an entirely new full game itself.

The release is a smart from by CDPR. It's almost a reminder to folk. "Hey, I know we lied about Cyberpunk but look at how we're fixing that AND also remember our last game!". Makes me have faith in them again I somewhat, the manipulated fecker that I am.

I’ve completed the whole thing on Death March and had basically nothing left to do and yet I still have an urge to go back to it again

Never bothered with gwent though.

Same re: Gwent, on my second playthrough and absolutely loving it.

Gwent somehow has me hooked on all three playthroughs including this one. I've never skipped it.

Same. Something about it always makes me want to play. I loved the addition of the Skellige deck in the Blood & Wine DLC.
