I had tried the wire a couple of times before but just couldn't get into it , this time though I am properly hooked and knocked off 7 episodes in 2 days

It's a powerful side story and Carver's development throughout the show is very interesting to see.
He's a good cop. I like him. Herc isn't bad either really he just bumbles things a little too often.
Everyone I know tells me this's the best ever but I can't even finish 1st episode, I get bored everytime I try.

This is not an uncommon feeling.
It took until my fourth try to make it past the 1st episode. But once I made it into episode 2, I rented all 5 seasons on DVD from the local video rental store, cleared my calendar for a week and lived on greasy pizza and beer while binge watching the whole series.
I wish I could watch the Wire again for the first time
