Been a bit disappointed so far with the series. not enough omar/bubbles/marlo, too much media/claydavis,mcnulty goofing off.
Obviously everything is getting setup for a grandiose fecking ending that will leave me speechless.

Episode 9 will be released on the net by tomorrow as well. All the episodes are available on HBO demand 6 days before they air except the finale of the season which is 90 mins long. Can't wait.

I was reading about The Wire and I find it incredible that he is an English actor, because of the accent he had as Stringer Bell, although he did always seem to have a level of sophistication(although Clay Davis squahes that notion) that seemed in hindsight quite British

feck that you didnt stay up for 5 days straight unless you are one meth, all the others are believable albeit pathetic in teh case Grey's Anatomy, which was decent for about 2 years and then went to shit
Actually you don't have to stay up 5 days straight at all....
Remember each episode is not an hour, but actually 40 mins..
One season takes just under 17 hours to finish...
I remember getting few hours sleep during those 5 days, but i definitely did sleep!

The creator is done with it, I think they will leave it open, but yeah it is hitting a stride that I havent seen a show hit this side of The Sopranos in many years.

There won't be another season. Creators said they have more or less covered all the relevant social issues in Baltimore. Only one left was the increasing population of latinos. But they have no background on that issue and research would take a long time.

Absolutely love the show, only wish I was lucky enough to have NOT watched it just so that I would have looked forward to have watching it in the future (if that makes any sense!)

Only fitting tbh, release the finale for all to see at once, do you know that after the Sopranos went to blackout in their last scene, a record number of callers to HBO called to ask if they lost service hahahahahhahahhha

Just saw the finale.....true to the tone of Wire and unlike any other series finale, it was not fast paced, did not have a happy or sad ending the series. One thing they made clear was that it had all come a full circle.

Twas indeed a gread scene, I have two issues with it though. Why did they show the bits of glass on the inside in the photo? It would have made Bunk look even better police if he'd just figured it out using lateral thinking.

The feck thing makes the scene
It doesn't. It's not motivated, until late in the scene when they realise the bullet came from the outside. There's no reason for them to be only saying 'feck' and 'motherfecker' before that. They've decided on the idea because they think it's funny but not motivated it properly, it's a tired idea.
