Television The Walking Dead

Decent enough episode. At least there's a clear direction the group and the storyline is moving in as opposed to the previous episode.

Good episode, didn't drag like it felt last week.

Loved the opening scene. When Rick was building up to knock him out I thought he would just pull out his gun instead and brutally shoot him. This 'Alexandria' place surely is not going to be another Woodbury is it? Seeing as they've already explored the 'safe community' storyline before it inevitably went downhill, this will be interesting where this one goes.

What is it with this show and car accidents? It's at that point where if they are driving any sort of distance they will either a) run out of gas/battery or b) manage to hit walkers that pop up out of nowhere. Last episode they managed to combine the two, it was impressive.

Why didn't Glenn just use the wipers to clear the blood? That confused me.

Yeah, I thought the same. They seem to feel they have to add drama to every journey. It's filler I suppose. The end of the episode was going to be their arrival at Alexandria so they had to punch in some drama in the episode and the journey was the easiest place. I know these vehicles wouldn't be in the best shape, but literally every time they go anywhere there is a problem.

Yep, thought it was a really good episode.

That's what annoys me with the show, every now and again they have a very good episode that proves they can actually write entertaining stuff. The problem is they've to write 16 episodes every season and as such these episodes are few and far in between. I can't help but feel that if there were only 8-10 episodes a season then it'd be a really good show. AMC would never do that though as it's such a ratings pull for them.

Decent episode, except for that OTT music towards the end, when they were all driving in that campervan to the latest soon-to-be-doomed colony. I don't know if it's just bad writing, or the writer's giving their audience very little credit, but the spoon-fed emotion the show tries to aeroplane down your throat really bugs me.

That sounded like a bit of a rip off of the music from 28 Days Later? In fact it might of even been the same song. Not to sure though. I think some of the spoon-fed emotion bit is probably due to them assuming the audience in stupid (in fairness it's not exactly a "high brow" show as such) but also the actors are particularly great at acting, the easiest way to convey emotion if the actors can't do it is by the sound.

I enjoyed this episode, it might of benefited from the fact last weeks was dreadful but there was actually some good character development. The ginger guy (can't remember his name) got some story, Michone and Rick was something different and the fact they're finally standing up for themselves a bit when Rick wants to do something.

It'll be interesting what happens now, I liked the ending myself with the kids laughing inside and the relief on Rick's face, made a nice change from it always being doom and gloom...which I'm sure it will go back to soon enough!

I cringe every time I hear them call that baby 'Judith'.

probably one of the best episodes of TWD through the whole show. As @Cina said, it shows they can do it if they want. But its like a rare one in a while thing that happens (outside of openers and finales).

The show needs tension and elements of danger which this episode had. The episode felt more like the game (the telltale one) than the TV show. (for anybody thats played it)

Exactly my view. Thank feck it can still deliver after a couple of so-and-so episodes. Maybe they do end up repeating governor's town/Terminus story lines, but was so easily the best episode in yonks.
Hope it's not like watching United. A mediocre episode feels like a classic after countless 0-0 v Cambridge equivalents...

Abraham. I just call him Sheamus though (wrestling fans will understand it).

Good episode.

Was catching up in the thread and saw @dinners85 spoiler so f*cking thanks for that. Would warn you a second time if I could.

I'll pm you because you've clearly still no idea what you did.

With todays ep that will be the last three still to watch. Unless it improves in those three I'm sacking it.

I actually didn't mind this episode either. It has me intrigued anyway, keen to see where it goes.

Yeah it was a was decent....that fecking kid....

In awe of those guns he gave to Glenn and the other two....you just know they have no clue how to defend themselves....and shocker, Carl actually had a good line when he tells his dad that the towns people are weak.

Expecting the girl to be keeping a zombie out in the woods, which will bite someone and they'll ruin the town

hard to tell what will happen next....

liked that episode though - gets you thinking of what it would actually feel like to revert back to the pampered lifestyles we are accustomed to...

I can see trouble in the next 2 episodes and Rick will be running the town by the end of the season...

It's a safe haven. Realistically, they could live indefinitely there. It's been safe since the start of the outbreak or whatever they like to call it. There is no reason why it shouldn't stay that way, but, while we all give out about the stupid things that some of the people do to get themselves in trouble, it would be a pretty poor show if they just lived their lives safely in this compound. So we're going to have someone do something stupid to ruin it.

As expected, an episode of meet & greets.."here's your soon-to-be doomed suburban shithouse.. settle in.. meet the rest of village idiots who'll presumably be killed off before the finale" But this time you get to play the Governor Rick!
