The Trump Presidency - Part 2

Maybe sanctions, maybe independent strikes on Mexican soil without Mexican consent. What could they do to stop it?
Militarily? Nothing.

But it’s an act of war against your biggest trading partner that you share one of the planets longest land borders with. Tens of millions of Mexicans live in the USA and at least a half million Americans live in Mexico permanently. This is not launching cruise missiles against some pirate or Taliban outpost on the other side of the world. The consequences would be felt for decades. No way his generals and admirals would accept such a reckless order.

I foresee sanctions, trade measures and a massive crack down on the border involving the military. Big budget increase to the border patrol and DEA.

Yes, what has that to do with economic performance of a presidency? US inflation was brought far below the average inflation of the other rich countries. It is not s stick to beat him with.

The way the state can impact inflation is twofold: fiscal policy and monetary policy, with monetary policy being far more effective. The US did expansionary fiscal policy and contractionary monetary policy, working in opposite directions, fiscal policy making the inflation worse and the monetary policy bringing it under control.

Politicians do fiscal policy, monetary policy is independently ran by the central bank. Biden did not "battle down inflation", the Fed did.

Inflation is typically low if the economy performs well. The difference between the US and other big countries that struggled more with inflation, was the US economy.

Biden 100% was instrumental in improving that. The only reason it did not drop further than 3%, is the world economy.

You're just wrong, but that's ok.

Trump’s getting rid of all of the generals that disagree with him.

Not on paper, but it's almost a built in inevitability.

I agree that it might be a biproduct like when roy keane injured on purpose halaand. But that was not football and should be criminally punsihable as this pump and dump is not capitalism and should be criminally punishable but both exist on a frame of football and capitalism

Yeah, but the game is rigged.

It’s a shame the idiots who voted for him won’t actually understand they’re being fecked over.

Or they realize and they blame someone else.

The cognitive dissonance of these right wing types is unlike anything I’ve ever seen

They don't care if they're fecked over as long as minorities are fecked over even more.

Or "owning the libs" . Somebody needs to suffer in some way that's what makes them happy. The fact they are so many of these sociopaths is what's scary.

This is shockingly embarrassing as a transfer from one president to another goes. If this was North Korea we would be laughing at it. America is a fecking stupid country.

I'm sure this time around trump will have his military parades.

The looming presence of Barron Trump always cracks me up, seeing the giant baby face towering up amongst the old heads just looks so odd.

they're taking Mexico lads

this border thing is a ruse so they can use the locations to start snipping off little bits and pieces

Trump's a quicker learned I'm sure he's been briefed on Israel
