The Trump Presidency - Part 2

Wasn't he convicted of fraud?
Nice fella.

Kushner, who was under investigation at the time for making illegal campaign contributions, targeted his brother-in-law, William Schulder, a former employee turned witness for federal prosecutors in their case against the Democratic donor. As part of the plot, Kushner hired a prostitute to lure Schulder into having sex in a motel as a hidden camera rolled. A tape of the encounter was then sent to Kushner’s sister and Schulder’s wife. Ultimately, the intimidation stunt failed, and the woman turned on Kushner.
Kushner pleaded guilty in 2005 to 16 counts of tax evasion, one count of retaliating against a federal witness and another count of lying to the Federal Election Commission. He was sentenced to two years in prison.

Musk and Vivek don’t want “government efficiency”. They’re both über rich cnuts who are in it for themselves and are more than happy to feck over the little guy.
Quite obvious. Any potential savings from cutting all these agencies are going to be immaterial for government budget anyway (it’s basically like saying your personal budget is going to be so much better off if you avoid driving one day a month, but all the driving you really do is a 10-minute ride to the office and back). It’s how they can benefit from not having various regulations or governance over their business that they are after.

That’s exactly it. And the thing is, the expenditure of those bodies is dwarfed by the that of the Department of Defense, which is hundreds of billions of dollars.

Love this one, especially the ventriloquist bit.

That's all it is with conservative Americans. All a about money and power and thumping thier chests proclaiming themselves as the bestest and most power with zero self awareness and irony.
Feckin hell, they're so insecure and paranoid. A walking joke.

I mean the tweet isn't wrong, why bother pretending anyway? *Most* Americans aren't that dumb or ignorant to think otherwise hiding behind a smile, Biden is just as a corrupt douche and has been since all the way upto being cuddly grandpa to Obama which somehow changed everybody's perspective on him

My Latin American friends say the same thing. Republican, Democrat, the end result is always the same. Their countries have to do what they're told in secret or else. Trump just says it loud

not a great day to be an immigrant in eic adam's new york city :)

Why is he not a Republican? He’s literally just a Democrat in name only. And I’m pretty sure the constitution applies to everyone in the USA, otherwise there’d be regular instances of tourists being kidnapped and tortured.

So to be a democrat now is to be pro open border policy and mass illegal immigration? What kind of stupid logic is that? Surely it’s just common sense on wanting to have a grip on the situation, including deporting people who came to US illegally, especially if they’ve committed any crimes to add.

Yeah I think that bit is pretty established, but both MAGA and Eric Adams want to change it.

About him - his base has many of the communities that voted for Trump this time, so that explains it partly, but the much bigger motivation is that he and literally everyone in his circle and all his appointees are currently under multiple FBI investigations for very open corruption, so a nice early pardon would be grand.

The thing is, all of his policies and beliefs line up with those of the GOP. He’s opposed to separation of church and state for feck’s sake.

I think you have just twisted the original post you were replying to and singled out on just one of Adams's policies or quotes and claimed the poster uses stupid logic for coming to the conclusion he made in his post.

It makes little sense seeing as in the very next quote Adams says Fox News is 'on of my favourite stations' that is something that is clearly never going to come out of the mouth of any true Democrat.

If you had looked at other quotes or policy ideas, suggestions and changes made by Adams you would see quite clearly how he is far more aligned politically to the Republican Party than to the Democratic Party, hence the DINO moniker being very appropriate and certainly not 'stupid logic' as you claimed.

Adams is most definitely a DINO. Although he's definitely one of a more than a few that are now dragging the Dems, especially those who were always more cetrists, further and further to the right leaving only a tiny fraction of those elected being even what you could consider progressive let alone left wing.

Sadly, the same is true here in the UK as well and many other places around the world, all this despite a considerably large percentage of the population clearly identifying with more traditional left wing or progressive policies.

You should read more thoroughly before commenting. If you actually read what you replied to, and this was your honest interpretation, then you should practice reading more generally.
