Getting Americans & their representatives to decline funding the government has ALREADY promised them, and that they fought hard to get, is going to be an extremely difficult task. DOGE is going to require collective sacrifice and a culture switch from:“I need to get mine!!!” to “we can get by with less” — or even better: “we don’t need a handout, we’ll do this ourselves” Culture shifts are very hard, but it feels like this one is gaining momentum

Exactly. Corporate welfare is alive and well, especially for the banks. They get billions in tax breaks and handouts but if someone needs additional temporary support to feed a child, they get told to pull themselves up by their bootstraps. They are hypocritical monsters.
