The Trump Presidency - Part 2

I hear that it has to go through Senate but it’s difficult to expect for those gutless GOP senators to go against Trump.
The issue is that three of them can go against and still it won’t matter. And well, there are just two GOP senators who might vote against Trump.

So, I expect all these insane appointments will be confirmed. And if they will struggle to get confirmed, the pressure will be high on Thune to do recess appointments.

Well any limited delusional of normality has been thrown out of the window now.

Gaetz and trump deciding on law and retribution of enemies is going to be North Korea levels of bat shit.

Gaetz will justify and support ANYTHING.
If Gaetz does manage to get confirmed, then all that's left is that there aren't that many MAGA types among the DOJ staff and US Attorneys' offices that are needed to prosecute cases. But that's definitely not great assurance.

Tulsi, basically a foreign agent at this stage, Now has the keys to intelligence.

US intelligence will now be leaked to Russia and Syria on an industrial scale.

Isn't there still plans to reclassify the entire federal public sector as political appointments? Thus they would fall directly under the executive and party politics so he can move anyone on?

Since the people that actually do those jobs know very well who she is, I am pretty certain, if it didn't already exist before the so-called deep state would just come into being.

Matt fecking Gaetz. The next four years will be the shitshow of the century. At least his picks for secretary of state and defence aren’t the most anti-Ukraine candidates he could have picked.

Doesn't the Senate have to accept these nominations and you know grill them? I doubt a TV Host and Matt Bloody Gaetz are going to last long, the new Sarah Huckerbees of our time

Senators expressed disbelief at President-elect Donald Trump’s decision to tap Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.) to be his attorney general, indicating the conservative firebrand could have a tough road to confirmation.

Republicans largely refrained from wading into whether Gaetz — who’s under investigation by the Department of Justice and faces a House Ethics Committee probe — could be confirmed. Sen. John Cornyn (R-Texas) rolled his eyes and Sens. Tom Cotton (R-Ark.) and Shelley Moore Capito (R-W.Va.) declined to comment.

I don’t know if she is a foreign agent, but she is utterly unqualified for this job.

This is much worse than 2016.

And let’s not have any illusions: the Senate will confirm all of them.

My only hope is we get whistleblowers galore with the expected corruption and they bring this administration down. There are no checks and balances whatsoever.
Did you miss his proposed law against whistle-blowers or whatever that shite was.

Ok, I've always been against it but:

EU Centralized Military is needed NOW.
Nah just have some sort of UK / Nordics / Baltics / CEE (Poland/Czech/Romania) military block besides NATO, it’s better to have fewer but more committed members under the proper leadership.

She went on an undisclosed trip to meet assad and from that moment on has hidden behind a "anti war" stance to promote assad, dismiss criticism of his regime and try to influence Syrian policy in the congress.

If you can't be open about your meetings with dictatorships, and your policy goals align very nicely with their goals after that visit, I don't have much time for trying to justify their stances.

Could she just be delusional? I'll concede that possibility. But I'd need a lot of convincing that taking on the positions that ultimately benefit the dictatorships you personally meet is not worthy of the "foreign agent" tag.

If Airbus get to make a lot more a400 and even size it up a bit. Maybe. Logistics are massively lacking without usaf

Surely the entire point of hiring Gaetz is that he has so much dirt he can be easily coerced to do anything.

The ability to blackmail them into loyalty is pretty much the selling point for trump. hes like putin, he wants to run things like the mafia, not a political organization.

I have no sympathy for Americans. This shitshow is a culmination of a society that lost its marbles ages ago.

She’s certainly a questionable person, on multiple levels, including what you’re outlining here.

But we need to be careful when we use the term “foreign agent” or “agent of a foreign government.” If she indeed is, why didn’t the Biden administration do something about it?

The next 4 years will be very long.

Predictably, Rapey McForehead is trending on Elon Musk's social network.

Gaetz's public confirmation hearing will be interesting when the Dems call in Kevin McCarthy.
