Oh come on now, don't play that game. All throughout the election thread you claimed that, if you were American, you could not vote for Harris on moral grounds but that you also did not want a Trump presidency. It was a 2 person race, hence the need for a "magical" solution.

But whatever, this is now off topic as @nimic said so I'll stop now.

Vaccination to fight bird flu is used in other countries, but the US doesn‘t because it would hurt the chicken export.

Orange cnut nominated Lt Gen Dan Caine for the position, rather odd as it's usually a current four-star and one who has served as a combatant command or service chief. I wonder if this guy is a "loyalist" pick as he isn't qualified for the role per a 1986 law, they'll use the "national interest" lark.

The fact Bernie - a man now 83 years of age still goes at it with this much passion compared to the joke that, save for maybe 20 or so, is the dem party right now is maddening on a daily basis. Though I guess now especially is the time for people like him and AOC to shine. Sometimes I feel like throwing darts at a board with the likes of people like Wasserman Schultz pasted on it.

With every single dream crony basically now having been confirmed - career people are next on the chopping block. Every day that comes around will damage this country for many more months or years to come.

And now consumer confidence is dropping sharply, while inflation expectations are rising. As I said recently, we need to wait to see how this plays out before making conclusions. But, there are signs of nervousness out there, and they seem to be not just from the 48-49% who didn’t vote for him.
 
I am usually not a fan of conspiracy talk, but i really do think this can spiral completely out of control and have extreme consequences. Trump 2028 incoming.

Nah, I'm sure Trump wil instate someone very critical of him to function as a sort of counterweight or balance to keep his policies fair and bipartisan.

He seems as sharp as ever, unlike Trump and (obviously) Biden. Still way too old to run for President again, but having him there to push and shame the Democrats can't be bad.
 
I hope he keeps firing generals with operational experience. Only makes himself weaker if there ever comes a day when the military turns on him
