It’s a bit surreal to me seeing Musk just waltzing around the White House. Is this concerning to people over there? Just feels like a massive swindle that everybody is powerless to stop. It’s one thing Trump being there, he’s elected into that position after all, but Elon Musk?
Only the president and vice-president are elected. Everyone that Trump has appointed wasn't, and may at any moment appear alongside him in White House situations. So in that sense, it's not particularly special to see Musk there; although he didn't have to go through a Senate vote, did he?

No he didn't go thru a senate confirmation, Trump and Vance are the only elected officials in the Executive Branch, everyone else is appointed, if they held an elected position they have to resign before they can take up their positions

It’s real apparently. Some are saying he’s saying it to reporters. Either way, it’s a laughable situation all round having that muppet prancing about in the White House like a lead authority and his son loitering and behaving like a brat. Absolute mockery of the system and tbf, comedy gold for outsiders looking in.
It’s hard to fathom any other senior appointees taking questions in the Oval Office like that. Absolute shambles of a country.
