The Trump Presidency - Part 2

Gulf of America

Utterly pathetic pandering to the twat in office.

Thankfully the American tech companies are completely independent of government intervention, unlike their Chinese counterparts.

Trump on Gaza: "We're gonna have it. And we're gonna keep it ... nobody is gonna question it ... we'll have lots of good things built there, including hotels."

I work for a large multinational company and they don't abuse me or their staff, I think a lot can depend on the industry and the ownership

Call me a communist, but a person or company that obtains from your work 10x your salary or more, is abusive.

Will a Western country / leader actually call out this prick or they'll just all bow in submission. I wonder..

This Musk-Trump speech in the Oval office is just utterly bizarre. He's got his kid with him again, sat on his shoulders, picking his nose.

What an odd guy.

I know its one of several articles that have already pointed out the dangers to Wikipedia with the Heritage Foundation targeting it as well. They re trying to make people afraid of contributing to it among other things. Because apparently facts are "woke" and "anti-semetic".

In case we needed even more evidence this is textbook fascism happening as we speak.

Seriously, what is this orange cnut doing? All I ever see is him sat on his backside signing pointless Executive orders.

Since when is plastic straws a matter for a fukxing president?

This man just wants the camera on him all of the time. His appetite for attention is insatiable.

Allegedly he has started doing that since Luigi, essentially using his child as a human shield. Now I’ve only seen people saying that on social media so I have no idea how true it is but it does seem like something he would do.

Come on now...

The pace of “news” and “executive orders” is unsustainable… if Roman empire blockbusters are their cultural reference, they will start “killing” each other for fun as soon as there is nothing new to order in the morning.

They haven’t before when the US was bombing countries around the world or throwing their political and financial weight around. Why would they start now?

The UK has always sucked the American d*ck and Keir Starmer is already puckering up

And yes, some will abuse it, some not but the big companies are abusing us 100% of the time so anyone that take advantage of them without screwing colleagues, couldn't care less. Small companies is another matter because they usually abuse less and certainly they take less benefit from exploiting you. Obviously I am generalizing at every point of this post
I agree. The idea that remote work is a problem says more about bad management than it does about employees. When a company clearly defines roles, measurable outcomes, and expectations, where someone works becomes irrelevant. The only employers struggling with remote work are those too large, too incompetent, or too stuck in the past to lead effectively. The traditional 40-hour office workweek is a relic of manufacturing, and shouldn't apply for modern jobs. Limited corporations, with their shareholder-driven focus, don't care for employees the way smaller, more independent businesses and their owners do.

And circling back before derailing this thread, Trump, has built a career on delegation, outsourcing, and working from wherever he pleases. The real issue isn't remote work itself; it's outdated thinking, poor leadership, and a refusal to adapt to a world where results should matter more than presence.

Come on now...

I'm not saying it's correct. I'm just reporting what I have seen.

According to social media he only started carrying his child around with him everywhere since the Luigi incident.

It could be inaccurate, I don't know.

You're a communist!!

I'm not paid a pittance, indeed I would find it hard to get another job doing the same thing for anything near what I earn now

I get more than 40 paid days off per year, and that's in the USA, I have the choice to work at an office or at home or a combination, as a whole the company employs around 30K people, of the 7K or so in the division I work in around 10% of those have worked there more than 20 years and at least another 10-15% have been there more than a decade - I doubt most of these folks feel abused

Oh boy they'll be after me then since Wikipedia just used my photo on their DCA plane crash page!

I'm still waiting for the one on flushing toilets!
