The Transfer Deadline Day Thread / Most crazy ever?

Someone going to Wigan from United. If it is Powell then surely McCarthy is ours?

2106:
WIGAN LATEST
BBC Sport's Luke Reddy reports: "Dave Whelan has just told me Wigan have agreed a deal to take Manchester United's Nick Powell on a season-long loan.
Whelan said: "We obviously had Tom Cleverley on loan and I think United were happy with the job we did with him, so it's good news that we've got the lad.

I think Shane Long would be an awful signing for Hull for £5M. Hull's midfield are awful and he won't get many chances.

Whelan has just been on Fivelive, sounds like the McCarthy deal is off.

"It was always a bit dodgy," he said.

If Wigan keep McCarthy they should be over the moon. Him in the championship until january will be fantastic for them.

Everton get £25 million from selling Fellaini yet won't spend £15 million on McCarthy? Whose bid is "derisory" now?
