Fellaini is the type of player we need, Ozil would've been a great creative player for us too but not a necessity.
Which clubs are these? Chelsea, Spurs and City all did their business a while ago and have strengthened significantly. Arsenal and Spurs have closed the gap on us and city and Chelsea are on par if not arguably in better shape. Yet we sit with our heads buried in the sand that if we "keep this group together, we'll be fine". Despite the fact we repeatedly see that a number of players in this group are far too shit to play for our club.
I get that in the past we haven't gone as gung ho and we've still won titles but when was the last time four of our closest rivals strengthened to the extreme that they have. I'd sign Ozil over fellaini every day to the week. Next summer someone better than fellaini will come along. I doubt well sign someone like Ozil anytime soon.
