What is more shocking is the complete lack of professional pride from our lot, not just these two clowns. Nicky Butt was more established and successful than this lot but when he felt he had lost the manager's confidence he moved, to these jokers it seems being a United player is the be and end all of their career. I know there is lot of money at stake but have some pride..
I wouldn’t be surprised if he did convince Lingard to stay. We’re going to lose quite a few players and I’m sure some of the replacements will be punts on upcoming talent coming good. Might be easier and cheaper to have Lingard in the squad.
I hope this story is true and not just something planted by Marcus` and Jesse`s PR. Very good managers have the knack of getting the best out of players that others write off and want to see what players new to them can do rather than listen to others` opinions.
The idea that Marcus is `finished` at United is over-blown, the lad is class, his attitude is good despite some naysaying talk and the fact that United are committed to giving a new, highly regarded and innovative manager the necessary time to implement a new system and managerial style will help those United players who really want to stay and play their part in reviving United.
As for Jesse, the lad doesn`t want to be anywhere else, like Marcus he is a proud native Red who came through the ranks and we should appreciate this kind of player. He is underrated - for one, his off the ball movement is intelligent and he has always had a work ethic on the pitch, will bust his guts to do what the manager asks. Marcus and Jesse need team stability and clear management - I`d be surprised if both don`t improve if they stay under Ten Hag.
But it is time for Paul Pogba to go, much as I`ve always liked him although his choice of agent and the instability this caused is his own responsibility. He can`t do anymore at United, couldn`t be consistent, couldn`t help lift the team out of the doldrums - and he is not the only big name that couldn`t do this.

Lingard can get a 1-year contract where he gets paid for each game he plays. He can prove himself all he wants.
As terrible as Rashford has been, i'd like to see how he reacts to a proper coach and given our current lack of forward options, i don't feel like he should be first out the door. He would still have value in 12 months if he remains poor or doesn't buy into ETH's ideas.

There's no point believing only half the headline. Lingard will be here next season if any of this is remotely true which is probably unlikely, that is unlikely anyone has gotten any assurances. You can already tell someone's PR team is in lala land asking Ten Hag of all people for assurances. The guy just said he isn't giving Ronaldo perks and in come these two seeking first team assurances. Rashford and Lingard seem to have singlehandedly defeated the purpose of bringing humble homegrown. They are as entitled as anyone in the team.
Rashford still doesn't understand what happened under Rangick will happen under Ten Hag if he doesn't translate his game. He looks a tenth of the player without the license to ignore teammates and take any shot he likes. Might even be the worst projected type for tiki taka football. Those two years under Ole where the same 11 played every match seems to have warped Rashford's sense of merit. It's not that Rangnick hated him, it was his performances that made him had to pick.

Why on earth would a player (Lingard) who has played a bit part role for the last 4 seasons be offered a new Contract? I’d like to think the Club has learned from the mistakes of the past.
