I can’t see the deal available anywhere?

  • Gold Managers have no upper limit in amounts they can offer for players
That is a horrible horrible decision that I think will make clubs like Cardiff go under.

We need a rule in place to stop people going silly here.

So when are the new gold pass rules coming into force?

To echo what I put in SM:
All bids for unmanaged players must be disclosed from now.
No bids should exceed the 2x face value

All bids for unmanaged players must be face value

Going to run one final(?) Race to 90. I'll keep track of everyone's picks for the remainder of the competition. If you sell or leave, that is fine, they're going to be your pick no matter what. Conditions: Player has to be aged 18 or below, and rated 78 or below and is one of the players you currently have at your club.

My pick: Marc Bernal (17/73)

Granted I only googled for like 20mins but I couldn't find any like SM. The ones I found were training custom made players rather than it based on real life.
I see that as a positive. It would only make things interesting. I got friends playing Hattrick for 20 years, game is simple and stable. We can create our own league and take it from there.

I personally like the scouting part the most out of SM though. Being able to follow the careers of players you've owned. Being all cocky when the 17 year old lad you got turns out to be a world beater.

Yep. The real player aspect is the biggest draw. It is something you'd think would be done by more games if it were possible, but I think legally it can't be done without getting permissions from FIFPro and FIFA which would be expensive as hell if it is something that could even be agreed, and is the biggest issue we've run into.

Before I started playing SM, I played a game called XpertEleven which had the custom players and youth development. Just logged into it now and 12 years later the interface hasn't changed! It had a newspaper people could write articles for and quite a few of mine got 'published' by the reporters

Even back then I had complaints about save percentages: https://xperteleven.com/xpertdaily.aspx?DailyNewsID=22218

I played this as well way back when. Haha, this was really good tbh.

I said on the discord SM Worlds is a competitive scouting game first and foremost and then secondly it has a match engine.

Anything that alienates the first thing is making the USP weaker.

I wouldn’t play and contribute to the wiki if it wasn’t real life players.

Although full disclosure I’ve been gifted a years gold subscription for wiki stuff. @Damien its worth seeing if they will allow you to have this as a voucher of sorts we could give to someone in the GW?

Was ahead of its time with women's league and everything.

There's zero chance they'll do that. I've pleaded in the smw-chat, feedback and game-suggestions channels to no response, and in the wiki discord itself I think I'm too low a rank to be given any benefits like that.
