Gaming The SM RedCafe League

England needs some rating bumps to its youngsters like Sturridge, Welbeck, Jones, Smalling. If we can get that lot into the 90s...of course if that happens, it'll probably also happen that oldsters like Lampard, Terry and Ferdinand take hits.

Probably wasn't my best idea to take control of the Netherlands when I know little about the players apart from the obvious ones. Oh well.

A mixed side for the game against Colombia but one that should get the points.

Are the international players linked to the club players? When you add players to the squad it says the game world team they're at, but on the squad page the teams mentioned are their real life teams.

I considered using 3-3-4 at first with Argentina, ended up like this instead though:

More balanced I'd say and also slightly higher average.

Struggling to find a decent formation on this, one against Brighton didn't work. Might go back to my one against Wolves, lost 0-3 but it was an even game.

I'm in a similar boat!

It's frustrating, pre-season was going ok. The game against Wolves was even but they scored 3 somehow. Conceding too many chances, tried another formation against Brighton which didn't work what so ever.

Trying another one tonight, might have to concede a few games to get something working.

Ya it is just trial and error. The key appears to be possession, amount of shots on goal shouldnt really be considered by us at all so far.

Hmmm, possession wise I was fine in pre-season and against Wolves, against Brighton it was horrendous.

All the games I've being poor in, possession was not the best, below 45%. In a few games I had more chances and shots on target, but still lost by a few goals. That is my train of thought anyways.

I'm playing Birmingham this evening... should be a tough encounter, but I have faith in my Middlesbrough lads. They've got a very strong First XI mind you.

Wigan tonight. At home. After having drawn with sunderland, really need the 3 points tonight.

I've got a good record so far bar that blip against Carlisle. Have got a decent formation that has served me well, so naturally I'm going to bugger that all up tonight by taking a risk which most likely won't pay off. Should be a good game though.

I've got the Coventry City coming up, they've got a couple of tasty players in there like Tosic so I'm not overly confident.

I wish I hadn't had that friendly last night as well, most of my best players are now knackered.

Regarding Sunderland, I don't think we should kick out managers, let's just let the system do its thing.

The question should be who takes over next. Perhaps we should just let it free for new managers i.e. not allowing team switching.

No way, if an existing manager wants the job then he should be allowed to apply. What's the point in playing if managers are allowed no ambition?

If your players are knackered, it's certainly not because of the friendly, because it doesn't affect fitness or anything else. Everybody played friendlies yesterday, but the players have the same fitness levels today, or better, that they had before the friendlies.

That would be fine later on in the season... but at this point, whilst new players are still joing the game, it would be a bit shit if, say, a premiership/champo manager jumped to Sunderland just so they could spend more money/do transfers... because then any new player who wants to take over the squad left over will inherit whatever squad they've been left with and zero money to spend.

Of course it makes sense later on, when managers/teams have games under their belt, but as we've just started... I would say any manager, particularly in the top two divisions (who have been playing more or less since the start), who would want to take over Sunderland would only do so because they're unhappy with their own transfer dealings so far and want a do-over.

Well that's weird then, because the players I played in the friendly went down in fitness but the ones that didn't stayed the same.

They were all at 100% before the game yesterday, today some that played are at 80 or less.

Maybe if we made a rule that we have to be at a certain club for at least 2 months before you can switch? That would make it better with regards to people not jumping ships all the time, and it would be more realistic because why would someone leave a club right after they take over it to go to a new club? They always stay most times for a seasona and then get a better club, if they deserve it. Maybe we can have an added incentive for teams in a division lower, whoever is first in the league at the time has first dibs on the club in question as sort of a reward, and if they don't want it just go down the standings until someone wants t fill in.

That's pretty weird, mine all got better in fitness.

I'm pretty sure they will be marked at 100% before the friendly because they are all 100% for the the friendly (as everyone is at full condition regardless of actual condition for a friendly)... after the friendly is done, they go back to their actual condition.

Least I think that's the case.

I won my opening league game 3-0 with my highest player as 83.

3 days later I have no one lower than 85 starting. Double figures please.
