Partly guess 3 at the back was a bad idea :lol: lost 3-1 to Hull. 5 in midfield is not the the answer to my possesion problems.

Awful performance by my side. maniak stuck to his word and played his kids, yet the result was just 1-0.
 
Swansea City 1 - 0 Manchester United.

Pirlo with the only goal, the kids need to mature. Hernandez sent off, 8 shots on target to Swansea's 2. Sneijder hit the bar, Buffon also made a great save to keep us out. Swansea booked for time wasting 1 - 0 up against 10 men. :D Sneijder with MOTM.

Good game Burrow, should have really played the first team, but wanted to get the old morale up. All part of their development. Bit unlike Hernandez to get sent off though.

EDIT: maniak also lost 1 nil using his kids against the lower leagues full strength. Que FA investigation.

EDIT2: I only just noticed that Swansea have Olic, Buffon, Pirlo, Pepe and Fabiano. :lol: I should have played the first team.
 
can't believe chelsea had 3 shots on target and all three went in where as my team had 6 on target and only 1 went in :mad:

I'm quite happy with that score on reflection... here were the ratings from our game. If the kids can only lose 1-0 against that team with 10 men, then that bodes well for my tactics and play style. Credit to Burrow though he bossed the possession.

And no not shabby at all, but hey, Burnley beat United on the opening day of the season. It's not like 2 men beat an entire team of 11! :D Burrow had Pepe and Buffon out at the back also. Pirlo in the middle.

To manage 8 shots on target against a better side man for man, I'm happy with that. That's what friendlies are for at the end of the day.

Sunderland tomorrow in the league. The first team will be out in force this time. I like the tactics I've got up.

Beat tottenham 1-0, both teams seemed to me like they were full strength, had around 60% possession as well so I'm pleased with that. Didn't expect a win tbh.
 
My first loss after I took over Watford, but it was against a Premier League side, and only lost 1-2, so it's not too bad. Was dominated in possession, but played with a counter attacking tactic, and had plenty shots on goal.
 
Preston North End 3 - 1 Burnley F.C.

With 2nd division Burnley putting out a top squad, the Lilywhites would seem likely to be hard-pressed to find joy...but the Preston midfield were in fine form, managing to even the possession over the course of the game and showing a much more productive attack, peppering the goal with 12 shots on-target. While Burnley went into the locker room with a one-nil lead, one bit of hairdryering from Preston's brilliant new manager and 45 minutes later and the Clarets were sent home humbled and bemused, as Preston North End was able to manage three goals in the second half.

Ya Trionz hinted at that fact before. But I knew it would be a dodgey start by me anyways to be fair. My hope is top 10 finish, I'd be happy with that. Next season I'd like to be more solid and set on 2 formations depending on who I play :)

You've got a good squad, should be aiming higher imo. Though I haven't had a look in on most of the Division 1 squads tbf.

When I "took over" the club, the Chairman wanted a top 10 finish. I'm using that as my aim until I get familiar with the game and tactics :) Ya I'm delighted with my squad, just need the bastards to score and keep possession :D

I sold my highest scorer in Becchio :lol: 4 goals and 1 assist in 3 appearances. Average rating 8, no MOTMs.

None of my average ratings are as high as yours. In each game my players have lots of chances but just don't finish them.
 
Won 2-1 vs Watford (Eirik Raude). 2 players had a 5 rating and my Goalie was man of the match.
