Gaming The SM RedCafe League

Victor Gomez by Carlisle & Dennis Praet by Sheffield Wednesday are examples that there are loads of youngsters can still buy if you look for.
Just don't go about buying every 17year old like Levonapp.

You're all crazy with your various scouting methods. I just buy the highest rated player in that position that I can afford each time.

Also, damn you MK Dons, if I weren't in debt you wouldn't be getting that player.

Can't think why I've got this reputation.

 When I play my next league game on Thursday I will have made 11 changes from the side that beat Barnsley.

Will I get fined by the FA? :nervous:

Scrumpet denounces 'nefarious conspiracy'

Posted by: Scrumpet . (Ipswich Town) Tuesday, March 20, 2012

Ipswich Town manager Scrumpet was in high spirits this afternoon as he talked glowingly about his new signings and his side's opening day victory in Cardiff. However, the mood changed when he was asked about today's revelations that youngster Ross Barkley, who was on loan at Ipswich, had been recalled by Everton.

"When I woke up this morning I was under the impression that all parties were pleased with the deal. We were delighted to have him as part of the squad, the lad was loving life in Ipswich and I though Mr Martinez was happy for his young player to gain experience playing for our great club. Then I hear that he's been recalled! What changed? I'll tell you what bloody changed, it's that new shady 'partnership' between Everton and Forest, who just so happen to be our next opponents in the league. The real shame is that the young lad Barkley is having his development stalled because of political bullshittery from his manager. It's a crying shame if you ask me. Which you did."

"Also it has crossed my mind that the Everton manager has been looking to pull the plug on the deal ever since his side were handed a crushing 0-1 home defeat in preseason by my boys. Sounds like sour grapes to me. Or...should I say...sour toffees!" The Ipswich manager cackled maniacally at his own joke for the remaining six minutes of the press conference.

The evening paper is out..

I've made the decision not to bother with youth players that will probably becomes good in 4/5 years. Like we will still be playing then!

When I commit to something I stay commited.

que another 10 bids........

He didn't announce it until the bid had been accepted, as is the fair way to do it.

Jay, I placed my bid ages ago; you had plenty of time to make a more competitive offer for the player. As it is I'm confused as to how you convinced the Fiorentina chairman to even consider what your bid, those players you offered seem to be worth nowhere near the asking price.

Well it isnt just about waiting until they are world class, it is also about geting them to increase slightly then shift them on for a profit in 3 months ;) If you can work around the updates, you can make a few bucks or trade in for a better player. Thats my plan.

I was able to make a bid, I was going to do it for the lolz but backed out. Luckily I did :D

I don't see why we wouldn't continue playing the game. Even if people drop out, there will be replacements. The caf fantasy football league has been growing year on year so I don't see why this would be any different considering the nature of the game; this is a football forum afterall, you know?

You're probably right, I saw it today in the afternoon after last evening. That's the most competitive bid I could make. I'm managing fecking Hull ffs.

If people do remain interested over a few years then I'll doubt we'll remain with the same league. Someone else'll probably create another one and people will want a different type of challenge.

I've noticed the same with a player me and RedSky are bidding for. I bid over the asking price, he has bid according to my news feed 50K and a player worth 3.7m. The chairman will accept 5.6 in cash, or 6.7 if a player is involved. No idea how they've managed it.

The key is how much their chairman values the player. To you it may seem 3.7m but to their chairman it may be much more.

Each individual chairman will rate the value of your players differently; sometimes they'll rate them higher than your own chairman, sometimes lower - it seems to depend on a few factors such as the stature and the current playing staff of both the buying and selling clubs.

What? Why?

It's like Football Manager. There's only so much fun you can have with one save. It wouldn't surprise me if after a season or 2 people decided it'd be funner to create another league. Premiership managers would probably want the challenge of a lower league side and vice versa.

If this continues further than fair do's, I'd still play.

To make up for my signing crocked players, my last two signings are without doubt on the rise.

GIROUD, Olivier CF 25 88 has been linked to premier league clubs and is top goal scorer of Ligue 1, and GARCIA, Javi DM/CM 25 89 is called the next Roy Keane, and has a Champions League Quarter Final against Chelsea to contend with.

Also I bought CABALLERO, Willy Gk 30 86 a few days ago as he has been doing decently in La Liga and is unlikely to retire imminently.

Shame about the rest of my signings :(
