Gaming The SM RedCafe League

It's strange how the arguably most used formation in the world; 4-2-3-1, is so ineffective in the game. At least for me. If/when i have 48 points i will try some incredibly illogical tactic, arrows everywhere, in a home-game and see what happens.

I'm using it now. Played 2 games with it which I won 7-1 and then lost 1-0 last night. Will give it a few more games I think to judge.

Discuss.

The above would mean the following:

Manchester United - Old = 45 ¦ New = 45
Arsenal - Old = 45 ¦ New = 46
Newcastle United - Old = 45 ¦ New = 48
Sunderland - Old = 45 ¦ New = 48
Manchester City - Old = 45 ¦ New = 48
Liverpool - Old = 45 ¦ New = 48
Aston Villa - Old = 45 ¦ New = 49
Chelsea - Old = 45 ¦ New = 49
Everton - Old = 45 ¦ New = 49
Leeds United - Old = 45 ¦ New = 49
Sheffield Wednesday - Old = 50 ¦ New = 49
Tottenham Hotspur - Old = 50 ¦ New = 50
West Ham United - Old = 50 ¦ New = 50
Middlesbrough - Old = 50 ¦ New = 50
Derby County - Old = 50 ¦ New = 50
Cardiff City - Old = 50 ¦ New = 50
Southampton - Old = 50 ¦ New = 50
Leicester City - Old = 50 ¦ New = 50
Wolverhampton Wanderers - Old = 50 ¦ New = 50
Blackburn Rovers - Old = 50 ¦ New = 50
Nottingham Forest - Old = 50 ¦ New = 50
Milton Keynes Dons - Old = 50 ¦ New = 50
Ipswich Town - Old = 50 ¦ New = 50
Birmingham City - Old = 50 ¦ New = 50

City's will be 47 when the new season starts I think. The stadium has already changed size on soccerwiki, just needs to be in effect in the league which I think will happen when the new season happens

We'd keep an eye on stadium sizes. When a stadium increases their FFP will be altered depending on their new size. If a clubs stadium increases in size and that club then fail the FFP, they'd be transfer banned until they reduce the squad size down as per normal.

So we're saying that we won't be loaning players to managed clubs anymore? I don't mind either way, a loan cap is a decent idea.

Nah. You can loan as many players as you want to managed clubs. But some kind of cap for loans to unamanged clubs will probably help with wages for many clubs who don't have huge stadiums.

Ah I see!

Why not just set it to 5 players to unmanaged?

I'd prefer something like FFP for loaning as well (Maybe based on a combination of Division and Stadium size?). Let's face it, Man utd or Arsenal loaning 5 players is not going to make too much of a difference to their finances where as for other teams would probably bring great relief financially.

Tonight's European games:

Champions Cup
Valencia CF - Manchester United (Manchester United won first leg 4:3)
AS Roma - Newcastle United (Newcastle United won first leg 5:3)

Champions Shield
Sampdoria - Stoke City (Sampdoria won first leg 2:0)
Queens Park Rangers - Milton Keynes Dons (MK Dons won first leg 2:1)
Besiktas JK - Manchester City (Besiktas won first leg 2:0)
Spartak Moskva - Fulham (Spartak Moskva won first leg 1:0)

The Shield teams aren't doing great.

Mmm, I guess the point is that clubs in Div1 will probably be loaning a few players down in the lower divisions anyway.

How about... 45,46 = 0, 47 = 1, 48 = 2, 49 = 4, 50 = 8, 51+ = no limit

Those are the squad caps right? Can't think of anything wrong with that if so.

Yeah the loaning issue is a bit complicated. I've got no problem not loaning any players to unmanaged clubs as I get more than enough demand from managed clubs

Set it on average attendance! Am making 100k combined from home and away games and its becoming really hard to generate a profit without buying risers.

But you can sign risers to cover for it, I cant even do that!

Honestly would swap stadiums in a heartbeat. The game isnt that fun if you cant sign players or save money to splurge once in a while.

You've got an increase of 3 players. You're only 2 players behind me with this new system. Despite your stadium having 19k more seats than mine.

Yeah not complaining about the new system as its better than the old one but again, it should be about average attendance not the stadium size cos the former impacts the income directly.

Disagree again. Average attendance is calculated based on how well your club is performing, SM have confirmed this. They're simply tweaking the numbers with the new update to make it a bit more balanced (which should have been done years ago). We shouldn't be making a system which rewards a manager for under performing, FFP was always designed to ignore the managers input and focus simply on the elements that managers can't control. In this case stadium size.

How is that calculated? I assume they see where your club is at season end and not on a week to week basis? If thats the case my average attendance should be higher than it was last season(finished third) but its actually lower. Even in the last season, I would rarely fill out my stadium despite being second/third for the last fifteen games.

Check last page they wrote a bit about it. From what I read on the forum the attendance formula was a bit harsh and has been altered. I assume it's week by week.

This fan base could increase over a period of time dependent on your success. However, the fan base will never increase to more than the highest fan base within your league. Likewise, just as a fan base will increase, it can also decrease if your club is underachieving.

This doesnt fill me with much hope. Think they would have said weekly if it was weekly.
