Gaming The SM RedCafe League

And also, whoever faces me in the Charity Shield, remember that your players will lose fitness and the match is two days before the start of the season so field a second string team.

QPR-Forest: X
United-Stoke: X
City-Fulham: 1
Spurs-Darlington: 1 (just because Ben fielded his first XI in the Shield final. Otherwise I'd have gone for Darlington win)
Reading-Chelsea: 2
Newcastle-MK Dons: 2
Blackburn-Villa: X
Ipswich-Palace: 1
Sunderland-Arsenal: 1
Everton-Southampton: 2

I have 0 chance, especially with Podolski injured.

Forgot about this, beat Arsenal :D

Another star performance by tevez, goal, assist and a missed penalty

Don't think I would have a chance for qualifying for Europe without him.

Thanks to you though I need just seven goals in the last six games - one of the games being against Palace - to break the goalscoring record!
See, told you you'd break that record too! I'm +3 in the predictions now so that softens the blow. Also, already safe from relegation (erm, i hope :nervous:).

Top 3 drop points, the mighty Wolves edge closer!

Extended record to 10 games unbeaten now. Next 4 games are crucial and I must not lose (touch wood) because the top 3 have easier games...

Liverpool has an easy run in and West Ham aren't far behind. Norwich have the toughest run in. They play all other 3 in top 4!

Updated

Various Division 1 records:

Most points: 82 - Chelsea (Season 3)
Most goals: 99 - Chelsea (Season 4) & Manchester United (Season 5)
Least goals conceded: 32 - Fulham (Season 6)
Best goal difference: 44 - Chelsea (Season 3)
Most home wins: 16 - Manchester City (Season 2)
Most away wins: 14 - Manchester City (Season 4))
Player with most league goals: 43 - Ibrahimovic (Arsenal - Season 7)
Player with most league assists: 24 - Rooney (Arsenal - Season 4)
Player with most MOTM: 14 - Ibrahimovic (Arsenal - Season 6 & Season 7)
Point gap over second: 7 - Chelsea (Season 3)
Point gap over fifth: 22 - Chelsea (Season 3)

With 6 games to go, these are United's stats:

Points: 78 (4 fewer than Chelsea)
Goals scored: 93 (6 fewer than Chelsea)
Goals conceded: 33 (1 more than Fulham)
Goal difference: 60 (16 more than Chelsea)
Home wins: 13 (can at most equal City's record... doubt it)
Away wins: 12 (need 2 more to equal City's record with 3 away games left to play)
Player with most goals: 35 - Messi (8 fewer than Ibrahimovic)
Player with most assists: 17 - Messi (7 fewer than Rooney)
Player with most MOTM: 13 - Messi (1 fewer than Ibrahimovic)
Point gap over second: 17 (10 more than Chelsea)
Point gap over fifth: 23 (1 more than Chelsea)

Can only really see myself get the points, goals scored, goal difference , point gap over second and outside chance of the most MOTM which is pretty good going. If I do break the first three, can't see them being broken for some time as the league is, overall, a lot more competitive now.

One point away from sealing the title with five games remaining after today's games.

Changed tactics, got smashed 0-3. Safe to say i'm not using those again. Still 3+ in the predictions. Both with 6 correct this time, which is still the highest we've gotten so far. Congrats on the win! Now you can focus on Europe/breaking records.

Extended my record to 11 games unbeaten and equalled the previous 5 wins in a row record.

Next game away against Norwich is extremely important! I need masterclass performance and tactics!

Slim chance at the top 2 with this inferior goal difference!

ffs first draw then defeat, safe to say i will bottle it in the end :(

Congrats Damo! Another greatly timed win for me. 2 wins equals my best points ever, and would pretty much guarantee top 4

Why didn't you set up a friendly with Norwich before the actual match? :p

Thanks all.

Tonight's European fixtures:
Champions Cup
MK Dons-Napoli: 1
MK Dons at home, winning 3:1 away in first leg. Would take an almighty collapse for them to lose it now

Champions Shield
United-Everton: 2
First leg, both teams drew 2:2. For Everton to progress they need to either win or draw with three away goals

Sunderland-Arsenal: X
Arsenal won the first leg 3:0 and are all but through to the semis. Can't see Sunderland progressing...

Darlington-Hoffenheim: 1
Teams drew the first leg 0:0. Darlington need to win in order to progress and with them being at home I think they'll manage it... just.

Its just the best performing U23 players this season. A few of them are unlikely to rise - like Lamela, Isco and Eriksen.
Ye..but they have risen...at some point. Jones hasn't since 24 Dec 2011. You're jinxing me now.
