Yeah, you can do loan deals, transfer list, shortlist, whatever. Just don't put transfer bids in yet.
Going from City to Spurs in the space of an hour is painful. Spurs have so many pointless players.. Bongani Khumalo, Jake Livermore, Jonathan Obika, Gomes and Friedel... and Defoe is at the club on loan so can't sell him.
Remember, the squad limit is 35 including those on loan for any team in division 1! Players that were already on loan this first season will not count for the first season only. In every other season they will. If you decide to loan more players than default, they will begin to count.
Try going from Spurs to the Toon! I've gone from Lamela and Paulinho to Ameobi and Ameobi.
What happens if you go over the limit? The big clubs already have squads of 50 plus.
First season loans do not count. So for example, Courtois, Moses and Atsu would not count against Chelsea until the 2nd season. If they go over, they are required to sell a player the moment a bid comes in, irrelevant of who has made the bid or what the offer is. For example if Chelsea hit 37 players and I went in and bid on Van Ginkel for 6m, the Chelsea manager would be required to sell.
