Gaming The SM RedCafe League

`
My players

Michu (27/90) - will stay at best
Christian Eriksen (21/90) - stay
Calum Chambers (18/77) - +2
Rafael (23/91) - stay
Michael Carrick (32/92) - stay at best.. I reckon he might go down
Nemanja Vidic (32/94) - -1/-2 (most likely -2)
Ben Amos (23/82) - stay
David de Gea (23/91) - stay
Vincent Kompany (27/93) - stay
James McCarthy (23/88) - + 1
Ben Davies (20/86) - + 1
Nathaniel Clyne (22/87) - stay
Wilfried Zaha (21/85) - stay
Larnell Cole (20/75) - stay
John Stones (19/82) - + 1

Davies up to 87 as predicted.

I'd be up for another league as I have spaces to fill. Would it be the same teams? How would we decide on who gets who etc.

We can think of that later. What about the rules? Any tweaks to make it more interesting otherwise it'd again be the best teams with the maximum resources doing the best. how about caps like one can only buy below a certain rating?

Maybe no limit on ratings but only a certain amount of signings per season.

Number of signings isnt a great parameter imo. Transferring in a Zlatan = say Barkley? Not for me. Something like a cap of say 80 rating points when you buy a player would encourage identifying and getting in young talent. But almost the entire talent pool is already in the current GW, not much unexplored there either.

Anyways, lets see if there are any new ideas. The current draft has gone stale.

Maybe a fantasy league style pick. You have 1000 points to use, 1 point = 1 SM rating for a player. Then you have to balance the books and not go for all the ubber players.

Actually, that sounds tough to calculate and work out..

If we do do a new league, after organisation, we should keep all chat to one thread. Think thats why a lot of them die off, people not posting about them.

I have a spare league from a year ago that I haven't used so if we do get enough interest I can send that over to Damien.

As expected, Vidic went down by 1 (thought he'd go down by 2 so relatively pleased with that, but like usual he goes down right before I have a big game). Tunnicliffe went up by 2, Perica also went up by 2, and Eriksen now can play on the wings again thanks to Sherwood's fixation with playing two strikers and him on the wing.

United were done? Excellent, they didn't touch Antonio's 92

:edit: I spoke too soon. Down to 91 this morning :(

McCarthy and Stones up one as predicted. McCarthy will most likely get a concern any day now (like Pogba did when he went up to 89). That's me done in terms of the Prem review.

Lukaku's rose to a 90, which I expected. Wilshere can now play all positions behind the striker rather then just centrally.

Just a thought regarding the plans for a new league? How about it goes on nationality? So in theory you have the national teams of a country but in a domestic league.

Something to think about maybe.

Poor result against Boro. A draw. Well, I suppose computer teams are always a 50/50. Most dropped points it looks like.

Cant seem to buy a result atm. Another draw. Surely kissed my CL dreams away now. Far too big a gap.

Any thoughts on this idea?

Zabaleta's rose to a 92 for me  Discussed it with Anderson this morning and said it was a small hope but wouldn't be shocked if he didn't budge.

Good stuff mate! Looks like my hunch for Mertesacker was wrong, SM feckers!
