Gaming The SM RedCafe League

Cancel loans to save 70k, sell a player to get back into green. His squad will then be only 21 strong, so he will need to sign players before selling again. Buy a few 10k players to boost your squad up and allow him to sell more eventually. Getting into the green now is key with that small a squad. If he leaves it too late, selling 1 player may not do it and he can't sign any players unless in he green.

  1. Don't cancel the loans. It's 75 grand but he only pays half remember.
  2. Sign 10/11 10k players (cup team) make sure the wages are 300 each rather than the 1300.
  3. Throw all cup competitions
  4. Bite the bullet short term until you can sell the rubbish in your squad.
  5. Get in young players 86/87/88 rated. Then a few older players that are 89/90 rated.
Aim for your wages to be around 450k (without loanees).

Don't worry Plymouth you aren't the only one financially fecked - just change your squad around mid-season, that's what I'm having to do. Needed to get promoted last season and didn't - this season I've been losing well over £1m a week since they changed the finances around!

Speaking of squad reshaping, last couple of days have seen 33 & 34 years olds Miccoli and Milito leave the club and 21 years old Marc Muniesa and Riccardo Saponara come in, which shaves over £75k a week off the wage bill.

Won a league game after what seems like an eternity. Beat Blackburn 2-1. Dominated the entire game but the margin's close.

You accepted the counter offer thus cancelling my other external bid and then withdrew yours to leave me with no offer in hand. :nono:

The deal for garcia. U accepted my counter offer and then withdrew. The external bid got cancelled when you accepted it.
Oh, sorry about that mate - I didn't mean to accept the counter offer but my iPad had some kind of spazz attack.

Yeah! More wage increases, nice one!

Yeah, just gets better and better. van Persie and Digne go up in wages this round. van Persie went up to £100k from around £85k.

I'm trying to lower my wages by selling players but it's getting to be pointless as my chairman increases the wages of my other players automatically

In other news, Goretzka has gone up 1 in rating to 84.

Ah well, wages are still relatively reduced. Smaller squad now too.

Both Fabregas and Hart handed improved contracts. feck. Already losing money. Will have to trim further.

Yeah, you don't need either of those players anymore.

Haha. Yeah sure. I'l move on my 2nd choice Goalie whose concern has just gone up to level 3 and one of my CMs. Might then even have to get rid of one of the other AMs that I have. :(

You should get some decent money. Got no idea why maniak went for that goalkeeper as it was clear that sooner or later he'd be getting concerns.

Southampton seem to be doing a decent job with their signings. I see he's getting Garcia. Not the best of players but would walk into his first team squad.

Maniak made some very weird signings. I've had to get rid of 2 GKs already since taking over. This guy will be the 3rd.

Garcia's a very good signing for him at 6mil.

I play Brentford tonight in the Shield. Putting out a pretty strong side, with Eriksen the only player below 100% fitness (he's at 91%):

de Gea (90)
Rafael (90) Aurier (87) Reyes (87)
Zaha (85) Eriksen (90) McCarthy (88) Pogba (87) Lestienne (86)
Michu (89) Balotelli (90)
Brentford's last lineup:
Moore (79)
O'Connor (77) Eger (80) Woodman (77)
Logan (77) Diagouraga (78) Douglas (79) Weston (77)
Dongou (80) Donaldson (79) Boysen (80)

Thanks. My first team gets rotated quite a bit, so sometimes Isco gets put in the cup team or Sandro, but that is roughly what the side looks like.

My first team:

de Gea (90)
Ramos (95) Vidic (95) Sandro (89)*
Gotze (93) Isco (90)** Bender (90) Ozil (94) Bale (93)
van Persie (95) Messi (99)
*Sandro and Rafael usually rotate for place in starting lineup.
**Isco and Eriksen usually rotate for place in starting lineup.
What I'm missing is a bit more strength in depth and players that are rated over 90. I'm working on remedying that by trying to get two more players in.

I've got lots of players over 90 rated available Damien. ;)

Beat Boro 3-0. A clean sheet after what seems like an eternity as both my keepers have been ranging between 5 and 6 for quite some time now as I leak goals.

Yeah, I'm currently in a similar situation. I've conceded at least one goal in each of the last eight games.

I'm currently unbeaten in the last 19 competitive matches my team have played. Can I make it 20 against Spurs? I doubt it.

The last time I didnt concede a goal in a match that wasnt a cup tie was vs Newcastle almost a month back. Christ.

Joe fecking Hart needs a kick on his arse.

Your last fixture had too many players out of position and so your Assistant Manager attempted to pick a better side.

Thanks a fecking lot you cnut. Because you of, Assistant Manager, the club won tonight so is going to lose another half a million pounds because you decided to be a complete spastic and put out a full strength team - who, by the way, are all physically fecked now on the fitness side - in a match I wanted to lose because the original side I put out had TWO players playing out of position. Thank you very fecking much. And thank you Mr Chairman for randomly giving another 3 players wage rises when I'm trying to cut the wage bill. Do none of you feckers understand that you leave the manager to do his fecking job?

This game is taking the piss big time at the moment.

My reserves won 5-1 in the cup. And I'm also through to the next round of the Europa league. I've never had so much money that I was unwilling to spend!

I wondered what was going on with your match. That's shit.

Wow, that sucks. The chairman takes the piss at times in this game. Not allowing you to bid over a certain limit for young players gets me furious. Lost out on both Zaha and Kovacic because my Chairman wouldnt let me bid higher. cnut.

See that you've sold Gourcuff now to balance the books. Looking at your squad, you really need to get promoted this year.

To be honest I'm not sure if I'll get promoted this year, I am not up towards the top of the league and I'm completely re-shaping my squad again after a monumental cock-up towards the end of last season where I moved on lots of promosing players in favour of higher rated players in an attempt to get promotion, and ended up losing in the play-offs.

Gourcuff is gone. I've got Terry (92) available (got an offer of £13.4m on the table, does anyone want to improve upon it?). Once their transfer bans are up I will have Eto'o (92), Kaka (92), Johnson (91) and Fletcher (90) all available as well. So the only 90+ rated players I'm likely to keep are Osvaldo, Matuidi and Diego.

On the plus side, I've brought in a few younger players such as Muniesa, Saponara, Ricky Alvarez (little bit of a gamble but seemed to finally get into some form towards the end of the season) and now Callum McManaman into the squad, so the wage bill and average age of the squad is dropping despite the best attempts of my chairman.

Yeah, you'll need to do another overhaul in order to sustain long term. Too risky to wait in the hope of getting promoted.

Arsenal are delighted to announce the signing of Ilkay Gundogan from Leicester. Had to bid very high to fend off Damo's United but the lad is worth every penny.
