I am away to ruin my finances if I can get this signing done. Does going into debt have repercussions?

No, I joined about a week ago. How do I do this?

It is fairly simple to get to grips with but at the moment the results you get from the finance check may not be that relevant as the TV Revenue and other income could change next season but I'll show you how to do it so you can have a rough idea of how you're doing.

You access the Finances by clicking on Club on the top navigation bar then Finances.

When on that page you can then use the Previous Week and Next Week links to look at the finances for each turn as seen in the image below.

When the fixtures are announced on the 7th you'll get the income from the Season Ticket Receipts. An example figure is shown below:

One of the most important things in this game is Stadium Capacity. The smaller your stadium is, the harder it'll be to give out big wages without going into a loss. Unfortunately I see your capacity is just 9k.

On the finance page you'll see a lot of numbers. Ignore most of them for now and pay attention to:

  • Gate Receipts
  • TV Revenue
  • Sponsor
  • Merchandise
  • Player Wages
  • Ground Maintenance

For home games all of them are relevant while for aways just the TV Revenue and Player Wages are. Pretty much everyone makes losses on away games and I imagine you would too. The important thing really is to see how much you make from home games - and really you want to make a profit, then when the profit from the home game is added to the loss from the away game overall it comes out as a profit.

On Turn 38 you played your last home game while on Turn 39 you played your last away game. It was the same situation for me.

Expenditure
Player Wages: £577,990
Total Expenditure: £577,990
Balance: -£384,852

Before we go any further, as you'll have noticed there's a difference in the Player Wages for both weeks. You need to make both the same. I'll change both numbers into what my current wages are (£506,740) and I advise you do the same. Here's the updated figures:

Home Game
Income
Gate Receipts: £605,773
TV Revenue: £193,138
Sponsor: £227,165
Merchandise: £75,722
Total Income: £1,101,798

Total Income: £193,138
Expenditure
Player Wages: £506,740
Total Expenditure: £506,740
Balance: -£313,602

Home Balance: £443,615
Away Balance: -£313,602
Overall Profit/Loss: £130,013

The Overall Profit/Loss is what you want to be in the black. What I've shown you is very basic and is by no means 100% accurate. In each home game your attendance will probably fluctuate and so the income can decrease. The TV Revenue could change next season for your division which could be a help or hindrance. Still, by doing the above method you can sort of work out whether you're living within your means or not and then update the figures after your first home and away game of the season.

If the above has confused you, you can also pm me your finances for Turn 38 and 39 and I'll try and work out how you're doing and whether you're within your means or not.

I've probably made a mistake somewhere above and if I have I blame the time of night I'm typing this up in. There's probably someone else who can explain the above better than I have done and if there is feel free to impart what you know.

Right, thanks a lot man. I'll read over this tomorrow. Tired from work just now, but I appreciate that.

Fao darlington and reading. You're both a pair of fecking wankers. I will ensure all future risers are tipped to prem teams to stop you pair of greedy cnuts. That is all. Tossers. Bet you two dont even know his stats, cheating forum cnuts.

 Not the forums for me, but you are right I don't know his stats. But when you said "feck odd Darlington", I assumed there was a £10k riser and duly found the one you both bidding on.

Besides serve you right for tipping Everton off about a player I missed out on.

I will trade Bendtner for any winger with the same rating (89) and less than 30 years old.

Stoke is going to beat me to Thorgan, by 20k. I don't believe it. All the bids that came in after I told him to bugger off are nowhere near, but his is 20k higher than mine. Stupid chairman would only allow me to bid £2,080,000 and he bid £2,100,000.

Make interest in player public. Moan when out bid on said player.

What would your ultimate SM formation and lineup be? This would be my contender.

---------Casillas
-----------95

Alves--Vidic--Pique--Puyol
-95-----96----95-----96

------Xavi---Fabregas
-------97-------95

Ronaldo--Messi--Iniesta
--98-------99-----97

-------Ibrahimovic

No actually ;) he had already bid way before I made the post. I made the post mentioning him. I had already asked Chelsea what their chairmans max bid was, City was the only other team I thought could bid more. I didn't realise lower teams could bid more for players. Fair fecks to him, but 20k. Maybe I can fine Robinho a weeks wages and throw that on top.
