Gaming The SM RedCafe League

 Trying to sell me Rio as well Excal so you could swoop in for Sakho.

Shame :p

I'd of been more interested had he been a few years younger, too unpredictable to say how many games he'll get and whether SM will drop him.

If he doesn't play a lot, or all that well, he might drop to 92 in the next update, but I doubt any further. At this point, his game's not really relying on pace, so I think he should be above 90 for years yet. In any case, I got a good prospect from Reading for him, who's still a rise or two away from starting, but has big potential. In the interim, though, I need a fill-in starter.

Your probably right, he's not the type of player to get a harsh decrease. Saying that I'm building a very youthful team, only got Friedel over 30 in the first team and he'll be gone when Ter Stegen gets a decent increase.

Ned wanted me to remind everyone of the following:

Ned said:
Puyol is still for sale and I'm willing to consider any offers, especially those that contain a CB. Otherwise I'm going to sell him for cash to the CPU

Kinell. I thought your banging on about Casillas dropping was a negotiating tactic. You genuinely think he will? Casillas didn't lose his rating in the last update. Casillas dropped to 95 in 2010. He had a good season at Madrid, and a good tournament in the summer. There's no reason to think he's going to drop again any time soon, and being 31 hardly matters for a keeper. Buffon's years older and still at 94.

His age is just a little extra. The main factor was how young Rafael and De Gea are. 2 rising youngsters for an old player is always nuts. Let alone ones that put together equal his value anyway. If DDG rises which I'm sure he will, he won't be far behind Casillas, and will be 10 years younger. It's a silly deal for me to accept.

Casillas, as a keeper will be in football maybe a year or two less than Ramos will.

All I need is a keeper, but I'm not taking up some of the silly requests I've had so far *cough Excal*

You might want to offer more then the absolute minimum price for a player you want who are not owned by the computer though :smirk:

Ramos is 26, not 31. Nery wasn't a big rising star so including him in the transfer wasn't a big deal. A year or 2 is how many seasons in SM? It's not comparable.

Not when you're getting 2 players in return, who when they rise in value in the season, combined are worth more than the player you want.

Youth reigns supreme in this game. This game is all about the youth, a few seasons in everyone has shit loads of millions, and it's the youth that everyone goes after. That's how SM works. Giving up 2 of that calibre is silly. Excal gets the much much better deal out of it.

One youth is fine if the value works out, but 2 youths that equal the value already, and will only get higher? That's nuts.

And isn't a keeper.

Nery wasn't a big rising star so including him in the transfer wasn't a big deal.

In the two years since Casillas dropped that one point you've brought up, Nery's gone up 6 points, and can easily go up several more at Valenciennes.

Bottom line, your "it's always nuts to trade two rising youngsters" line is bollocks.

A year or 2 is how many seasons in SM? It's not comparable.

Whatever you say, Omar.

Oh, yeah that was a complete lowball. The guy's a dinosaur, and dropped 2 in 2010. I just wanted to see if you had any inclination of selling him and we could go from there. I wasn't mentioning you anyway in that post, I was just referencing Excal wanting to nab 2 promising youngsters who will rise, who already equal the valuation of the guy I wanted and will soon surpass the value, along with having so many years left in them.

 You're the one being an Omar here, valuing your old players so highly!

It's customary to see players jump by 6 points that quickly, because they start off rated so shite, he's still only 85. Andy Carroll has gone up 5 since 2010, it's not comparable. He isn't on the same level as Rafael/DDG.

It's a difference between how the game values a player, and how much that certain player is worth for your team though. I.e Pepe was the best player in my team, but there was no way I was passing up an opportunity to replace him with Kosc and Arshavin, as I was very weak at the wing and in depth in general.

Buffon can be sold, but only if it improves my team overall.
