Gaming The SM RedCafe League

That's what I told him. I can't believe he turned down my offer of two quality, young, improving players for those two duds that Wolves have fobbed off onto him. What an idiot!

Dzagoev and Perisic vs Hoarau and Villagra; it's no fecking contest.

Another good offer. You and BD had good offers there. Omar swayed by the cash element I suppose.

If I was him, I'd have taken a cash deal and sold off a few players and then re-invest.

Nah Omar. You've accepted a bid with Wolves. I dont want to be a prick and swoop in after you've made his bid public.

Thinking of building for next season, I'm gonna be looking for a couple of guys on loan.

A CB and a CM are the main things on my shopping list.

My backup goalie (who I only bought a few weeks back) has announced his retirement, which is an annoyance.

Not that i am going to accept even if you bid now. Just reminding it was in your hands to get him, you didn't want him.

You don't need a backup goalkeeper in this game; apparently goalkeepers never get injured or sent off and they seem to be at 100% ready for every single game, cups included.

I only had 3M cash. I didnt want to use it all.

Damn, what a waste of money he was. 658k I got him for on the 9th of June, no mention of retirement when I did that. A month later and the bastard is hanging it up.

Well you need a backup keeper in the sense that the game requires you to have two, but your backup keeper can be some 10k 70-rated no-mark, so there's no sense buying any other sort of backup.

It requires you to have two keepers? I didn't know that.

Are we sure keepers can't get injured?

I have two 89 rated keepers as backup for Hart...

 didn't know that can happen.

Teams having two keepers rang a bell with me as I can vaguely remember trying to sell a keeper and it not letting me, but with the Krul transfer I wasn't actively trying to find a loophole in the rules, it is just that getting rid of the two keepers suited me at the time and I inadvertently bypassed the system

In 432 club and international games I've managed, it's yet to happen to me. Can't recall an opposing keeper injured or sent off, either.

So now I have an axcellent keeper and 2 very good ones... great.

A glimpse into Omar's future.

Melq, Doncaster Rovers manager, has just messaged me with quite a big problem he has. His side are around £3M in debt and can't sell players as the squad is at the limit.

They have 23 players at the moment, but two of them are on loan from other sides. Take them away and his side are at the 21 man squad limit. They also have a player set to retire (Oddo) so soon enough the squad will be at 20.

Melq has no idea what to do to get them out of debt. Their capacity is 15k and their wages are £533k but without the loanees it goes down to around £510k.

I don't know whether this will work but I have suggested he try and trade one player for two plus cash to get his squad to the limit or over and out of debt. Melq agrees that is an option and says that he will take any two players for any one of his. Only Tore and Abiatti are off the table. Slight problem is there aren't many players that will appeal to other teams.

He should resign with immediate effect.

Anyone else?

And if there are any other managers out there in financial difficulty or think they will go into financial difficulty, either post here or pm me if you're a newbie and we'll try and help you out before it gets unmanageable.

Would be a great opportunity if his team weren't so shit.

 We should charge them for our help.

Insua the only one that is worth a backup place is some squads, Omar should snap him up and get rid of some lower rated players.

Levo do you care if those players on your loan list are first choice or not? I might be interested in loaning a defender but he'll be backup and play the cups.

Doncaster can loan in players and then sell off his players.
Buy cheap players to fill in squad limit and send back those loaned players.

Loan players make no difference to the squad limit. At the moment he's got 23 players including the 2 on loan and it won't let him sell any of his other players as SM counts only the players not on loan in the 21 man squad limit and right now without the 2 loan players he's at the limit.
