Gaming The SM RedCafe League

Well when he is I'll get you the remaining half :p

dannymc1309 is the new Colchester manager.

Meanwhile I managed to buy Francesco Acerbi, a 23 year old CB bought recently by AC Milan after a good season at Chievo Verona.

First post was updated, Colchester has a new manager but Chesterfield lost its. I also added the list of winners to be updated.

If anyone is thinking of joining in, Port Vale has 10M to spend in division 4, but there are still 5 teams available in division 3.

good signing that. as I said on previous page, surprised no one else went for him or even shortlisted him.

I saw the transfer on the news and tought I'd look for him, but thinking someone had already taken him. I hope he gets a chance next season, defenders at Milan always have good ratings.

I managed to sign a player called Billy McKay from Inverness for 190k, he's played 1465 minutes for the first team and at 73 rating should be inline for a huge rating increase. Yoink :)

Probably another loss for me, be interesting to see how many times my side loses for no apparent reason.

Beat Coventry 1-0 :) Good game, fairly even with a penalty deciding it. I knew it'd be a tough game, fantastic result - especially looking at some of the other results in the division.

Well done. I had my 2nd choice keeper playing up front after 60 mins for some reason

Beat Man City 1-0. Away from home and all. Schweeet!

 Great result Philip.

Division 2 top 10 results

Leeds United - won against Coventry City (1-0)
Ipswich Town - drew against Blackpool (1-1)
Millwall - won against Brighton and Hove Albion (4-2)
Blackpool - drew against Ipswich Town (1-1)
Cardiff City - lost against Hull City (2-0)
Coventry City - lost against Leeds United (1-0)
Middlesbrough - won against Doncaster Rovers (3-1)
Nottingham Forest - won against Bristol City (4-1)
Derby County - lost against Leicester City (3-1)
Crystal Palace - won against Peterborough United (3-1)

Ipswich v Blackpool result is great news, especially going into two tough games against Leicester and Millwall next. The former I expect a loss - anything other than a defeat would be great news - and the latter anything could happen.

Division 2 table update:

l5ul4.png

Gap extended to 9 points and unbeaten run now at 10 games (last lost 2-0 to Cardiff City). Very tough game up next in the league away to Leicester City who are on an 8 game winning run.

Won 5-0.

Big match on Thursday, Bradford v Sheff Wed. 1st v 2nd.

13 points from 21 remaining to secure first (will probably require less than that - hopefully).

Three milestones for me in the remaining games and I hope to achieve them all:
  • To gain enough points so that it is impossible to finish outside the play-off places (currently need 8 points to do this).
  • To gain enough points so that it is impossible to finish outside the automatic places (currently need 13 points to do this).
  • To gain enough points to secure first place (again, currently need 13 points to do this).

I'll take each game as it comes though. I've got a pretty horrible run in.

Millwall play Derby, I play Leicester and Coventry play Blackpool on Thursday. A few interesting games there.
