Gaming The SM RedCafe League

Happy with the win last night. Starting to pick up some form.

I'll defend RS on the Wolves 89 rated loan signing. I was chatting to RS on the SM site, then he pipes up "feck an 89 rated forward is listed for loan, just what I need!". I have a look at the loan list in the transfer market section, and he is listed for loan. It's crazy as my chairman wont even let me loan list anyone 87 or over

Well in that case, well done RS, and I question the wisdom of the Wolves manager.

I was amazed only myself, Arsenal and Reading noticed he was on the loan market. He was on there for at least two days. I noticed him while I was arranging my loan deal to Preston.

Thanks to Zlatanish, much appreciated!

That's my CFs upgraded from 87/88 to 89/90. Both loan signings have immediate callback incase of injuries. So I'm only expecting to have them for a few games.

Not such a big surprise re that Wolves striker really. Wolves play with 2 forwards and he has 3 in the squad (2 rated 90 and 1 rated 92) so a forward rated 89 would be surplus I guess.

as for Hernadez I noticed he was an unused sub in the last 10 united games, so made Zarlak the offer of a loan. Saves him wages and he has an immediate callback option so no harm at all for United. Good business I say!

Ah, but one of his strikers double up as a winger, and apart from Affelay, his wingers are rated 88 or less... so it would sure make more sense for him to play that forward on the wing, and retain Hararou to play up front?

This also ignores the fact that one of his strikers is injured and out of Sunday's game.

I'm not questioning you of course, I'd do the same thing if I could!! The wisdom behind the Wolves one surprises me though from his perspective... but then again, this kind of thinking might explain why he's lost 4 of his last 6 games!

No time blah blah blah. He would have struggled in this game, as alot of us have. Alot of deals involving real managers.

C'mon people Munoz is not for loan, stop asking.

Blackpool have made a loan offer to Arsenal for Ezequiel MUNOZ .

Leeds United have made a loan offer to Arsenal for Ezequiel MUNOZ . Loans are season long but the loan can be terminated freely by either club at any time.

 It had to be done.

I can loan Munoz or Schennikov in exchange for a 88+ rated winger.

If that happens Chamberlain can also be loaned.

I also bought Willy Boly yesterday, 85 rated CB, if anyone is interested.

So do i have to sell the winger to you? Because i can't do that. And if i have to loan him to you, i can't do that either.
Also Granero is injured, so a 88+CM also needed on loan.

I'm looking for loans now, not buying.

I have extra defenders and need a winger after trading Gervinho.

So I dont think I understand this game. I have a pretty good team, but why would I sell any of my players? And why would anyone sell their players to me?

Aside from finding young gems who might rise in the next league-review, how do you improve your team?

Obviously there may come a time when a mutually beneficial trade is on (one team has two good left wingers, one team has a few good centre backs) but aside from that...

where do we go from here?

There's 3 ways:

1: Build a team of highly rated experienced pros in their 30's and hope to get immediate success and therefore prize money (which I assume there is?)
2: Build a team of highly rated young players in their early 20's and hope for rating increases.
3: Have a mixture of 30's/20's players.

As for trading, it'll end up being similar to how its done in the elite. Lots of bargaining!

I reckon it'll be buying up players from CPU controlled teams as soon as their ban ends, usually with the help of slightly lesser rated/older players of your own. Then those older/lesser rated players are fought over once their transfer ban ends. Cycles.

Okay fair enough that is actually a pretty decent list, but even so.

And as for buying up young players that will improve. If you buy up 75 rated players who are likely to get bumped up to say 80, what you've done there is invested some money which is essentially worthless anyway, in a player who will get you more money but no human player will want to buy him.

So you think "okay I'll buy 80-88 players who might go up some points in the next league-review and become first teamers"

1. Check google.
2. Read that United are linked with Kevin-Prince-Boating.
3. Put a bid in for KVP.
4. Watch as another 50 caftards put bids in for KVP
5. Don't profit.

1. Check google.
2. See that Giroud has scored a hat-trick for whoever.
3. Put a bid in for Giroud
4. I tell you to go to hell.
5. Don't profit.

I'm not criticising the game, I imagine this is what real football management is like. But in terms of time investment compared to profit when you are up against 50 people who know their shit, it's not going to be easy.

You are lucky I was working nights and forgot to alter my team from the last match during the day..

Saying that, you only had 3 shots on target and scored 3 goals... and Paul Scholes was sent off for me after half an hour!

Two of the goals were scored before he even got sent off. And your team player ratings were all 90 or above except for Welbeck so I don't know what you're blabbering on about.

Thats why I havent bothered looking for 'potential risers' who are still in their teens and rated <80 and will take a few years at least to be at a high enough standard to play, or be sold. It seems that it'll be more effective focusing on improving first XI, then when that cant be done, look for risers. Newcastle seemed to spend a lot of time looking for youth, and ended up in relegation zone. But once they brought in a few first teamers, they've done well and moved out of relegation zone.

Looking for low 80 players is a bit OTT. I think I've done the right approach of getting young 87-89 players in. 1 decent rating increase could get them into the 90's.

I have 16 players rated 87-90, with the average age of 24.5 (I don't have any players aged 29 or above, my oldest is 28). If I get promoted, I should have a decent squad ready for the Top Division with some prize money ready to enhance the first team a bit while still retaining my young core.

I sound like Wenger

you don't. You sound like Rednapp, buying players hoping some will work.

There's no hope about it. Good solid research my man, all of the players I have transferred in have had very good club seasons. My first set of transfers when I had no idea what I was doing was very much random. Now I research my targets and ensure they're playing games, scoring goals/assists. Getting clean sheets etc.
