Division 2 table update:

Looking good

1st time in the playoffs for Forest. Closing the gap on Cardiff/Millwall and Boro.

Next set of matches look interesting!

Millwall - Cardiff City
Middlesbrough - Ipswich Town

Close match away to Bristol Rovers in Division 4 but the MK's managed to get a 2:1 win.

A shock defeat for Sheff Wednesday has made it only 1 point between 2nd & 3rd, this promotion fight is hotting up!

WTF is going on. I strengthen my entire team and now I can't win.

Phil mentioned to me before the last lot of transfers that the league is pretty much starting from scratch again, and the sudden loss of form between you and Middlesbrough and the revival of Forest supports that. I'm still very surprised at your recent record though. Didn't think you would drop out of the top 2 never mind be fourth with a chance of going down to sixth or seventh after your next game.

Luckily I have a bit of a buffer between the Europa league places and below!

Better goal difference  I'd much rather be 2 points ahead and 1 goal behind.

Even losing today, I have better form than you

My last 5 opponents before today:

#1 City
#16 Norwich
#8 Blackburn
#7 Spurs
#3 Chelsea

Your last 5 opponents before today

#17 Bolton
#19 QPR
#10 Wolverhampton
#1 Man City
#18 Swansea

So yes, including today, you had better form (by 2 points) against 2 top teams, Wolves, and 3 relegation contenders than I did against Norwich and the top half of the table, including three of the top four.

What does that mean?

It means that a lot of sides were either doing very well or very bad with the sides they had, then they changed quite a large part of the team so the form has gone out of the window. Leicester were doing rubbish at the start of the season but are now on 3 wins in a row. Middlesbrough and Millwall aren't doing well and some other sides which started off well or poorly are now seeing their form turn around.

Oh you mean with transfers. I wonder if changing your squad drastically has any effect on form though. As long as you're improving the team and getting higher rated players in, you should technically improve no matter how many changes you've made.

If you're transferring out players that have been doing well for you then yeah I think it does.

My star player Remy (90 rated) is doing rather poorly for me. Ratings don't really seem to matter much when the two teams have a pretty even average rating. Heck I drew with Arsenal in a friendly and he fielded a far superior team to me. The games not that great really. Still I ain't complaining when i'm winning heh!

Friendlies are rubbish.

To be fair, if you look at the top teams in all divisions, the strongest ones are towards the top. Can't be all that random then.

Doesn't explain sides like Leicester and Brighton. Cardiff should be near the bottom of the table and yet they're in the playoffs! Look at the trophy games, Div 1 sides lost even when playing better teams than their opposition.

OK now this definitely IS grooming! I'm telling my mum...

Marin has being unreal for me. 7 goals in 5 games since he signed from the wing. What a coup he may turn out to be for me.

I really worry about how well SM is written, software-wise. From a league where I'm United, trying to bid for Pirlo:

I believe you need to have enough to cover the transfer and 1 weeks wages, hence your issue.

Won a big game against fellow relegation zoners Brighton, hopefully I can keep this form up and pull myself out of the relegation zone.

Forrest now have two 89's and one 90 on loan... how on earth has that happened??

In other news, my bid for Aaron Lennon has just been accepted, so I should have my first 90 player within 24 hours.

Who? Lennon? I'll treat him better then you did that's for sure ;)

This Hoarau loan from Wolves to Forrest is dodgy as feck... I have no idea how Wolves think they're able, with the squad size they have to loan out their main reserve striker.

Certainly some Omarlogic going on here :smirk:

Who did you sign him from? He was used as attractive package to bring someone better to WHL.

Loans can be used as bargaining chips. That's probably what happened considering none of the loans were advertised on here first.

Sounds nicely unethical... The Hernandez and other 89 Winger bloke make sense, because the teams he's loaned them from are bloated and can probably do without them. There must be something else going on with the Wolves one though... as it actively makes his team weaker.

Munich. Wasn't a bad deal all in all.... suprised no one else put in a bid considering how many people had him on their shortlists.

Lack of money I'd of thought, I sold him a little after the first spending spree by everyone. If it was Bayern then it would of been a swap deal for Muller
