We should have a "if you lose 6 games in a row, Maniak automatically sacks you" rule

I don't think anyone is bad enough to lose six in a role.

Stoke City (duffer) just did. Funnily enough they are still 13th.

Edit - It's rather harsh applying it retrospectively though, maybe from next season?

Lost in both leagues. If I dont post again on this forum, you'll know why. My mind can barely handle a loss in one league :(

With International Day and another round of World Cup qualifiers tomorrow, I thought I'd take a look at the player-run teams and see how they're doing.

In Group 1, MrAnderson's Spain have decent competition in Paraguay and Switzerland, but so far he's navigated well, only drawing once in 5 games so far. Switzerland, though, have 9 points and have only played four games, so they have a chance to pip Spain for top of the group if they falter. Paraguay, with 7 points, are quite the long shot to catch Spain from 6 points back with only 3 games remaining.

Adam118's Germany top group 5, but it's nervy going for Die Mannschaft, as they've only got 10 points to their credit, while the Czech Republic and Cyprus have 9 and 8. It could be disastrous if they drop points to Cyprus in today's qualifier.

Newbie Xipro's Chile have had a calamitous campaign in group 6. Their three-nil win against Canada provided the only points they've had in five matches, and La Roja are already all but eliminated. To make the finals, Chile would need to win all their remaining qualifiers, would need Italy not to manage even a single draw in their remaining qualifiers, AND they would need to somehow make up a 13 difference in goals. It seems likely that Chile will be watching the World Cup from home, this summer.

Urbanned's Netherlands are fighting from behind to qualify out of group 7 behind a lucky Hungarian squad (10 points in 5 games despite a -1 goal difference) and a rather surprising USA. Klinsmann apparently knows quite well what he's doing in SM-world. While not having Landon Donovan in the squad once, the Americans have 3 wins and a draw against the Dutch, and a game in hand versus the group. Holland have 9 points, one behind the group toppers.

In Group 8, the fans and tabloids were both chomping at the bit after England's successive draws against Denmark and Jamaica, but consecutive three-nil wins against Wales and Finland have calmed the masses, and my England side sit comfortably atop thee group with 11 points, the Finns five points back in second. Some slacking off will be inevitable (this is England, after all,) and I expect I'll drop points somewhere, but I think it's clear I've put the team's success first. Ferdinand plays alongside Terry, Gerrard plays in his best position behind the main striker, and Carrick anchors the midfield. Martin Kelly, Jordan Henderson and Stewart Downing are nowhere to be seen. I'm England's best manager in a generation.

Maniak's Portugal sit comfortably atop group 9, five points ahead of second place Senegal and eight ahead of third place Tunisia.

In group 16, Big Red's Ireland have made the best of a relatively weak group, winning four of five. They'd be Henry-proof if they hadn't lost their last match to South Africa. as it is, though, Turkey and South Africa both sit 3 points behind the Oirish, and are still in the hunt.

One players decided not to join the elite league, se we have Newcastle United available there.

We have 39 out of 40 spots filled and I would really like to have all team controled by Caf members. Nobody interested in taking over Newcastle there?

Manchester City welcomes:

He's been added to the Loan List along with Inter Milan's CM starter Joel Obi (21yo CM/LM 84).

Does anyone want a United team in a European Championship?

Not doing too well with it and with both caf leagues I can't be bothered to keep up with it, just asking so one of you lot can have it rather then a random person.

The league is European Championship 3152 for anyone that wants to take a look at the squad.

Nobody want this? If not I'll bin it when I get back from work.

I am in mood today and i will name a striker who scored 40 goals this season and is available real cheap.
This guy is my find but i think i will let one of you have him.

Think I know, saw him ages ago. Not sure if it would be worth it though, how much would he rise?

That is something even i am guessing.
Plays in very poor league.
Considering my low budget, i am not sure if having him on my wages is worth it.

Anyone else just completely ignore the wages aspect of it and still get by fine?

Likewise, no one I want to particularly trade for him, and financially I'm a balancing act.

Yes. I lose more on away games than I earn from home games, but tied in with staying in the Shield all the way to the semi's it has helped me stay in the green comfortably.

I don't completely ignore it but at the same time I'm not too concerned. Overall after each home and away game I make a decent profit. I could cope with wages well over £600k but I do try and keep them around the £550k mark or lower.

Piszczek has just developed a concern. Wants his wages increasing from £30k to £45k. Will see how long I can delay giving into his demands.

Some other clubs in our division went crazy in transfers at the start of the season, bringing up their wages to a level that is unsubstainable.

Highest wages in Division 2:

  1. Leicester City - £605,800
  2. Coventry City - £558,350
  3. Middlesbrough - £550,700
  4. Doncaster Rovers - £549,570
  5. Leeds United - £545,895
  6. Birmingham City - £544,285
  7. Nottingham Forest - £521,920
  8. Derby County - £512,900
  9. Hull City - £504,025
  10. Ipswich Town - £490,550
  11. Millwall - £483,685
  12. Bristol City - £471,890
  13. Brighton and Hove Albion - £469,140
  14. Portsmouth - £450,550
  15. Blackpool - £449,450
  16. Burnley - £445,935
  17. Crystal Palace - £445,340
  18. Cardiff City - £403,585
  19. Barnsley - £347,835
  20. Peterborough United - £335,665

I run a tight ship over the border alright...

Do tell...

Considering my wages and position in the league I'm doing a top top job

Edit: Same goes for Cardiff
