Gaming The SM RedCafe League

That is the point, I have looked harder. No one had even clicked onto this player - I had kept him off my shortlist on purpose to ensure no one would sneak in.

Ned doesn't even have a clue who it is other than the fact I have bid on him and then he has probably googled the lad.

I found him completely legitimately on Soccerbase this morning and go do one you gayer.

Just to add fuel to the fire. Ned decided to fall out with me over not loaning him Iturraspe. How would you lot of reacted if he'd gone there.

Well most of us will rely on "scouting reports" from webistes, especially foreign leagues. I've used soccerbase, soccerwiki, transfermarkt, skysports scout, you name it. Youtube isnt as detailed as I had hoped!

What I want to know is who started the 3 at the back formation, with the 3 being a RB, CB and LB?

How'd you all know it works that well? Excal explained it to me but it still sounds retarded, no one would ever play that tactic in real life. Therefore, all you gimps playing that formation have probably read somewhere that it's awesome. Gayers.

I play 3 at the back. All can play as CB's anyways though. Vertonghen is a CB/LB and Yang-mbiwa is a CB/RB. Having more players in midfield works for me, plus with use of arrows you can make it 4-5 at the back easy enough.

I tend to have a bad time when I play 3 at the back, but when I do play 3 at the back I use RB, CB and LB for the simple reason that I don't have enough good CBs to make 3 CBs a worthwhile choice.

9 teams in Division 1 alone in the last round of fixtures played 3 at the back. I refuse to believe that everyone came up with it themselves to play 3 at the back because they considered it a good idea. It's obviously been posted somewhere that it's a strong tactic.

Yeah, it has been said in the SM forums that playing certain formations with 3 at the back works very well. I don't use it though. May experiment with it in the Elite league but in this league my usual formation is faring me well most of the time.

For me, it is clear having more midfielders will give you good possesion percentages, but only having 1 uptop generates less chances, unless you plan to do that against a far superior team and counter. So I try play with 2 strikers and 5 midfielders to get a balance. that is the reasoning behind my prefered tactic. I use the arrows then depending on what I want to do and play to my teams strengths against the oppositions weaknesses. I've lost alot of games to learn what I have being doing wrong.

In my opinion where you went wrong at the start was fecking around with the arrows too much and changing your tactics every so often instead of sticking with a decent formation and letting it settle in.

Ned can feck off. Trying to justify his business with me won't work when he is playing a sneaky underhand game.

He needs to get a decent football knowledge of his own rather than simply using other people as a platform to make money.

It was a learning curve. I said it at the start I'd be messing around this season to get used to things. Sure I didnt have a clue how the game worked, so just tried everything out. But I didnt think I'd do this badly :D In the end I learned a good bit, and staying up will be like winning the title for me now.

Yea I'm not saying you've done anything wrong, just that those arrows were mental!

Not as bad as Boltons (I think) were! :D I had no CMs for awhile to play 5 there, so tried using the arrows to get 4-5 to midfield to try get better possesion percentages. Good idea on paper, shite in reality.

I see your point

What's going on there then?

I started using 3 at the back through a lack of defenders at the time.

Vikram_V10 just took over Barnsley, so the top 2 divisions are full again. Now let's see if we can fill division 3, some decent squads available there.

I think we should enact a new rule whereby TR can announce who he wants to buy and then none of us can buy those players; it seems the only way to stop the stupid little bitch crying like a sore fecking faggot every time somebody signs a player that he likes.

City needs a good PR man

Triple swoop complete - Cardozo, Rose and Gusev. One more to come and that's me done for ages.

Do we get a transfer kitty once the season ends or some sort of cash prize based on our final league position?
