Gaming The SM RedCafe League

Thanks Damien, but i was hoping you do these reports.
You would have more to add to it.

Plus i guess there should be a poll for player of season stuff.

Ah, ok. I'll do that. Maybe as well as a poll for player of the season there should be polls for player and manager of the season so far in each division. Not sure how we'll work that though.

Good idea Trionz and Damien.

My nomination:

BD-Derby County. In the quarter finals of the cup, and in a commanding position in the league to make a push for a promotion spot. League form is 2nd worst in division, yet is still in line for a good finish. No debt, in fact, 2M bank balance:cool: Come the start of June, new signings are guaranteed, and Derby will be in the cup final without compromising their league form, and will eventually finish 5th.

I'll set up an email people can send their manager nominations too. Put division and nomination in the subject header and I will total them up.

Thanks.

And I agree with Burrow, Berbasbullet has done a great job there.

Spurs have done well to be where they are with such a small squad too - why have you loaned out so many players Levo?

Guys, I think you should leave myself and Manchester City out of these polls, it'd make for a more interesting result in the same way that asking who the best player in the world is besides Messi and Ronaldo.

Thanks.

Well I had a fair few out on loan when we started the game, I can't re-call most of them but they will be sold when possible. I've brought a lot of promising youngsters that will develop after a few seasons, thought this was a better idea then just filling out the squad.

The only thing I am a bit short on is strikers but didn't have many to start with and Leandro has done ok when needed. Plus If I hadn't loaned them they wouldn't be used a whole lot as they aren't good enough for the first team yet.

As you said I'm not doing too badly with a small squad and it's helping out others with the loans.

Not really. It's like the manager of the year award in the PL or any other league. It's not just who finishes top, but who achieves ahead of expectations. You'd probably have to have a 100% win record to be in contention with the squad you've got!

4 days until I can sell Abidal.

*Please don't retire (in game)*

Edit - Although I have no in game money so will have to take a loss.

You're right, I have built an unbelievably awesome squad.

Sunday can't come quick enough... I'm still hurting from my Thursday loss :(

I was wondering when you would show your face here :D Division 2 is the tightest with much to play for. Out of all of the divisions I think ours will have the champion with the least number of points as we keep taking points off each other. There are games you can think are bankers but you end up losing. Bristol City's squad looks in a bad shape at the moment so you should be fine.

Michy Batshuayi has just gone up five from 77 to 82; he's on my loan list if anyone's interested; I'm sure somebody could use an 82 rated, left footed CF/AM so put your applications in.

Also, I'm expecting the vast majority of my other loan listed players to increase into the mid-80's as soon as they're reviewed, so if anyone wants to do a bit of research and snap them up in advance and preemptive of their impending improvement then it could work out rather advantageous for you.

Particular highlights include:
Da Costa (RB) - Had a good season in Germany
Fofana (RB) - Interest from United
Mbola (LB/LM) - One of the highest rated young defenders in world football
Verratti (CM/DM) - In the Italian national team
Brozovic (CM) - Interest from Everton + Liverpool
Ruiz (Fwd) - Interest from Milan + Barcelona, very highly rated
Suk (CF/AM) - Already rated 80, South Korea's hottest prospect
Thy (CF) - One of the most talked about young strikers in the world

As for the other players on the list, probably bestsellers to wait for now as they're not certain to get increases in ratings, but the above no doubt about it will all be in the 80's soon.

Gone for a completely new tactic tonight, just to see if it works.

Not expecting miracles first time out.

Playing both City and Liverpool in my upcoming matches. Might aswell just field my youth-side (no Caulker though)

Can't have him associated with your shambles of a club and performances.

Dont expect too much from my lads. 2nd worst form in Division 2. It depends which team turns up. On their day, they can challenge the big boys, but when they do bad, they do bad! Id be surprised with a draw

A few interesting things I've noticed about Division 2:

Nottingham Forest are the only team in the top 9 in Division 2 not to win a game against any of the other teams in the top 9 - the other teams in the top 9 have won at least 2 against each other. Forest could change this by winning against Cardiff tomorrow. If not for their form against the top 9 sides they could be top of the league.

Middlesbrough, despite being third have only picked up 8 points against the other teams in the top 9. Leeds United and Millwall have picked up 17 and 14 points respectively (with Millwall's game tomorrow being against Crystal Palace so they have a chance to equal Leeds' points haul).

I think Crystal Palace could be a dark horse in the race for the automatic promotion places. Big-Red has gone around pretty silently compared to the other teams but has a good record.

Blackpool have a good record against the teams in the top 9 too but I think some results against the other teams are letting them down.

Well I had a terrible start Damien. My forms only really picked up since I found a winning formula, the 2nd half of the season should be interesting for me. Tomorrows game will show if i'm in contention or not tbh.

That is true.

Some great games tomorrow with you playing Cardiff and Millwall playing Crystal Palace. If Palace win it is quite possible that they'll be in the automatics. Derby will be a hard game for me too. In a few games time everything could change and teams that weren't in the picture before could emerge and teams which looked likely to finish in the top 6 (which, at this stage is hard to name some as it keeps changing all the time) could be out of it.

I had a decent start, but it went pear shaped half way throught the first half, and hasnt improved. Leeds tomorrow, so could get even worse...

I went through a bad spell recently, mainly due to injuries and fitness, but now that's pretty much got past the worst part and with recent player updates, I think I should regain my early form back (hopefully).

1-1 with Spurs. Not a bad result, stats even enough.

4-2 with Excal's scousers. Entertaining game. Good win for him.

Lost 2-1 to Blackburn. Not bad.

And WR, you lost 3-2 to Arsenal. Well, it was a mixture of a team tbh, two 70 rated players, some 92 rated, some 86 rated, some 89. For some reason, Fabregas was alone upfront as a forward.

Thats weird...I can't see a match report so took the score from last fixture. How long does everything take to update?
