The first bid was before the offer for Balotelli came from Genoa, I withdrew it deciding to save my money for now. Genoa's offer meant that saving money wasn't an issue so I bid £1m for Verratti, but then decided to up the bid thinking Levo may have placed more than £1m down... turns out Levo only bid £800k though so I'd have had him easy with the first one.

Well done cider, Verratti in particular is a great signing. I almost signed him about a month back but went for a different player instead which wasn't the greatest choice at the time.

I had Verratti on my shortlist for ages and finally decided to go for it, bloody Gambit's thread highlights the sod and Cider joins in.

Only bid 800k because at the time I was the only bidder, Cider's bid was accepted before I even logged in again.

The player I got at the time wasn't the best of decisions. Levo should remember. I kept putting one bid on a particular player and withdrawing it and that was because I was debating between Verratti and player X. Oh well.

Need a win tonight. All but one of my players is on 100% (Nagatomo is on 99), while 6 of Brighton's are below 80.

I'd of probably re-bid but by the time I logged in they were already both accepted :lol: Probably would of upped to £1.5 mill at a push.

I'd have then immediately upped my own bid also. I'm not as incompetent as to not keep regular checks for updates when bidding on a player with interest from other clubs.

I just find you act very much like City to be fair. Watch who other people are interested in, sign them and then talk like you have unearthed a gem.

Did you bid overnight or late on? From what I can remember I bid for him and then logged on the next morning and it had already been accepted.

In regards to my game tonight it should be tight got some of my best players suspended/injured so got a few reserves in.

At least they are all banned for the same game so should be fine for a while after this one.
 
4 wins on the trot for me, starting to score far more goals now as well! Playing Portsmouth at Home, each team has pretty much 100% condition for their first team. Should be an interesting game.

Hopefully I can close the gap on the top teams :)

:lol: I never look for players others are interested in, I can find players on my own thanks, if others have already registered interest then that's neither here nor there as far as I'm concerned. So basically you can feck off. Bas Dost got a big ratings increase to 88 the other day btw.

Yeah I bid around 1am and the transfer was accept around 10am I think.

A big increase? he was already on 86... I was looking for a 90 + forward so I am delighted with that. Ola John, who is more useful, had a much bigger boost for me, along with my 7+ er's

Well that's one problem, the other is that I've only got about 2mil and I don't want to go into the red.

Also, what happens as we get further into the game for promoted teams? It will be hard to stay competitive in the league once you get promoted if every fecker is transfer banned or no one wants to sell.

The key is to look for the young talents for the future and buy them before other clubs do. New players are constantly added to the database daily and if the talent you do buy go up in the ratings you can decide whether to sell them on or keep them to go in your own first team. Some clubs in the league will be stubborn in selling players, but there will be some open to selling players in the future as the league progresses and they have their own talent they wish to promote to the first team and want to offload some of their other players that become redundant.

You're always free to loan any more of my players in the future.
