Good News: Nice comfortable 2-0 win.
Bad News: Creative force Elia (9 assists 7 goals) is injured and out of the Leeds game :(

I mean :( what a shame. At least the injury isn't that bad so he'll be fine after we play.

Sorry Levo, had to cancel our friendly as I want to play a team that I should be beating, so I can test out formations and all that.

Yeah, only 5 days thankfully. Gouffran got a goal and an assist today though, so, with Pedro Leon and Gomis coming back into the side, I'm not overly worried.

HUGE game on Sunday Damo... considering my less then stellar away form, I wouldn't back my side to get a win. Although off the back of 2 wins, and an XI all around 100% condition... it should be a good game!

Massive. Super Sunday top billing. It could go either way.

In my game against Hull the two NMF players still played - their conditions are now 25% and 16%, and the 89(?) midfielder who was injured was replaced by an 80 rated player.

From my players on loan there's not much to report, though Jairo did score one and had an assist against Colchester for PNE :D 4 goals and 4 assists in 9 league games there.

Comfortable 1-0 away win, had 70% possession and 20 odd shots on goal so really should have been more than 1.

Lost 3-1 to a half fit Stoke side. Changed the tactics and all 2nd half, just cant get it to work for me. I really should have got a result there to be fair. Lack of a decent striker available possibly cost me aswell.

Lack of a decent striker? I still have both Cavani and Falcao out injured!
I signed the 40 year old Rivaldo for peanuts as a joke and he's ended up playing 13 games!
Borini was a cheap buy for the future (straigh swap for Ryan Shotton) as well but he's made 19 apps.

Back into 5th now, above Man Utd, Chelsea and Arsenal.

Blackburn are definately the team of the year so far though.

I have Kerrision upfront on his own, 86 rated and not good enough. Still he should have done something against Nesta and whoever else was CB as their fitness was poor from the off  Pedro and Negredo out injured and would be my key attackers, Ba and Doumbia needed on the wings currently then to fill the void.

He is probably isolated up front on his own because your wingers aren't high up on the pitch and you've no attacking midfielder either.

To further communicate how instrumental Elia is to my side... no other play in the league is in the top 3 for both goals AND assists in our league, and only your Gaitan has more combined (with Forrest having the same as Elia).

Just realised that Gouffran played the full 90, so it's unlikely I'll be able to play him. Might have to be a rare start for Hammill...

That's why I changed it 2nd half, I was hoping to keep it tight and push on and knick it 2nd half. I switched to a 4-2-3-1 and had the wingers pointing towards my forward. Didnt work in the end :D

I play three at the back, think it was Nesta, Huth and Bruno Alves.

I never know whether or not Nesta at 75% fitness is a better bet than my backup players at 100%. I seem to be doing OK running the old geezers into the ground.

Wow.

As for Gouffran it depends how quickly he recovers. I've got quite a few players of similar age on the same condition as him. I should have subbed some of them in my game against Hull.

Whatever happens between Middlesborough and Leeds I'll benefit in some way, whether it be catching up Damo or keeping AN behind me (assuming I win of course, and probably won't on this run of form).

Next league match vs Brighton Hove and Albion. Must win. Now, do I attack and look to dominate, or be cautious and hope for a solid win. I know what I would normally do in FM in this situation, but this game is crazy, so who knows what to do!

It didn't change until the 75th minute mark. Too late to have any real effect probably.

It was supposed to be 60th. Think I picked the wrong in-game tactic. Eitherway it was game over already. I live and learn, it will be a terrible season but it is a good laugh. Atleast my squad is built for the future, I'll get it right eventually :D

You'll run away with the championship next season.

Whatever you try to do you'll lose...
But really this game is ridiculous, it feels completely random. I'm so good at football manager but this is so unpredictable for me, one week beat a top team and then the next lose 3-0 to some random team.

Yep. Game is weird. In FM there is a consistency to it, and most of the time you know why you got a bad result against worse opposition. Obviously there will be upsets, but it seems that this game went overboard on making sure it wasn't just a case of a 91 rated team beats a 90 rated team. Im not saying that I should be doing better, as I reckon Im around where I should expect to be, but when you look at some resuts in the game, it just seems very odd. Clearly a better team will do better, but I think a lot of one-off ganes are quite random. As I said, I see the need for upsets and all that, but I think this game is too random at times.

Or maybe thats just me being sore after being in shite form.

Yeh I understand what you're saying. Don't feel too bad though, my Cardiff side is probably the most in form side in the league at the minute.

Teams with better squads are in the first half of the table, so it's not as random as some are saying.

As for today, a 4-2 win with no injuries and managed to rest van Persie, Robben and Wilshire. Newcastle away next.

Well I have an 88 rated team and I'm 16th in division 2
I accept that I'm probably just shite at the game but this game is just so unpredictable.

Also something I was wondering, how do the ratings go? Are there any specific ratings or is it just one overall rating that determines how good a player is?

Well, won 2-1, and into the promotion spots now.
Got Hull next, hopefully the manager doesn't log in and i beat him just like how Damien did. :D

That's right, I forgot you play teams right after I do and my schedule means I play the same teams that Derby do right after they play them (though the next few games means things go a bit weird as I play both of you).

First four games in June:

Code:
         [B][U]Derby County[/U] [U]Leeds United[/U] [U]Blackpool[/U][/B]
3 Jun Birmingham Burnley Bristol City
7 Jun Crystal Palace Birmingham Burnley
10 Jun Peterborough Crystal Palace Birmingham
14 Jun Barnsley Peterborough Crystal Palace

And our last four results

Code:
            [B][U]Derby County[/U] [U]Leeds United[/U] [U]Blackpool[/U][/B]

But that 88 is your starting XI or whole squad, becaus fitness is very important in this game.

You don't count Cider. You're playing with unlimited budget, now leave the real game to the big boys.

Ya, cider had a big advantage from the off, no matter what he says. Berbasbullet (Blackburn), TR (Everton) and duffer (Stoke) deserve tons more praise for what they have done with what they started off with, great stuff by them.

Bit of a formatting error there Damien?

Btw, I deserve some sort of award I reckon, tiring teams before they play you. I even injured Boro's best player for you. You better not forget this when you are in Division 1 and Im looking for some loanees!

Definitely and as duffer said before, Blackburn must surely go down as team of the year unless they have a rubbish end to the season.

Where abouts?

And I won't. At this rate I'm going to owe 10 different teams loan players next season

Defo. He has only signed 11 players too, nearly everyone else has spazed out to their inner muppet

Maybe its just the thinness of my iPod screen, but Omar's results are pushed onto the next line, under my opposition. :nervous:

 Amazing. And 9 of those 11 are aged 30 or over too with a few nearing the end of their careers in real life.

Yeah it's probably to do with that. Looks fine from my end. I could remove the "City" and "Rovers" suffixed and try and make them a bit more compact for you.
