Gaming The SM RedCafe League

Here's my formal application for the Sunderland job. Do I need to PM it to maniak?

Name: JB7

Clubs managed (No. of seasons at club, inc. current season)

Sheffield Wednesday - The Red Cafe League (No full seasons completed)

Honours won

None

Current season

Sheffield Wednesday (The Red Cafe League) season 1
Division: 4
Games played: 6
Points: 16
Current league position: 2nd

It should be remembered that I took over the day after the first league game was played, and actually have a 100% record.

Playing style

I recognise the importance of entertaining the supporters, and usually operate using a fast paced, attacking 4-2-3-1 formation but the system is very flexible depending upon which players I have at my disposal. My team has a very particular way of playing; to control the match and involve our best players in the game as much as possible. In order to play such an attacking style, you must have confidence in a strong defence and goalkeeper, as we have shown by keeping 3 clean sheets in the 5 league games I have managed.

Transfer policy

I believe in young players and in my short time at the club the average age of the squad has dropped from 27 to 22. The only player over the age of 26 I have signed was my goalkeeper, Miguel Ángel Moya, who at 28 is still relatively young for a goalkeeper. The average value of players in my squad is now standing at £4.0m, whereas it was comfortably below £2.0m before I joined the club. In addition I have populated the youth squad with five hot prospects, including the much coveted Dale Jennings from German giants, Bayern Munich. I always operate with the clubs best financial interests in mind, and despite making 22 signings Sheffield Wednesday will still turn in a gentle profit for the season. As it stands the stadium has 20,000 empty seats every week and as those seats get filled the clubs profits will rise and rise.

Additional information

I've been privileged to manage such a huge club as Sheffield Wednesday and feel Sunderland would be the ideal club to move forward with. They are a great club with a fantastic loyal fanbase and I believe I could bring the smiles back to Weirside, plus I definitely believe I could improve upon the current kit sponsorship deal which I realise is a massive part of the job in this day and age.

A small breakdown of my history at Hillsborough shows some positive results:

Sheffield Wednesday 4-2 Oxford United
Sheffield Wednesday 3-0 Walsall
Yeovil Town 1-3 Sheffield Wednesday
Sheffield Wednesday 5-0 Macclesfield Town
Wycombe Wanders 0-6 Sheffield Wednesday

As you can see, the results have improved as the better players have been brought in and once the players have steadily adapted to the different tactics and style of play I have employed.

I only have CV's from Damien and MJJ, anyone else applied?

Because MJJ wants the Sunderland job, so if Damien wants the Liverpool one there's no need to vote.

So it wont get lost at the end of the page

No need to pm

So we have 3 CV's, I'll create a new thread so we can vote.

It'd probably be easier to get a mod to create a poll on this thread.

It would be easier but the CVs would probably get lost (unless they're linked to somewhere in the poll).

As for the Liverpool job, I'm not interested in that maniak - just the Sunderland one. If my application is unsuccessful and JB or MJJ get the most votes I'll stick with Leeds.

So all 3 want the Sunderland job, tonight I'll open a thread so we can vote.

If anyone wants to do it please go ahead, I'm off to a playstation championship.

I have to say, these CV's haven't been as amusing as I thought it would be.

I agree with Zarlak, and because of that, this CV has arrived at the office of the LFC chairman.

Best to leave the thread until you get back, especially as you're the only one who has MJJ's application.

This is becoming daft with everyone moving teams for no reason.

Who will want their team then? And so on, and so on, and so on...

I might retire in protest of this faffing around

Hmmm... no comment or match report from Damien when he finally loses... how coincidental

 Bog off, I'm doing it now. Congrats on the win (though you weren't facing my strongest side *ahem*). My biggest mistake was sticking to pretty much the same tactics that led to a draw in my last league game, should have changed them and started with Welliton/Inzaghi instead of Muriel.

Losing to a title rival, that's Damien out the 'Sunderland' running then. Shame.

Was still a strong side though, especially attacking wise. Mine was first choice though tbf, but for Carlao who I signed today.

I beat Newcastle 2-0, another scalp for Palace.

Why do you act like a cock towards me? There's no need for it.

You've done brilliantly and deserved the win. Your goal came after I used my subs and put the stronger players on. Though your side isn't as strong as some others, your tactics have fared you very well and I can see you challenging for the automatic promotion places. Good luck in your match tomorrow.

I'd settle for play-offs right now. I still think this is a purple patch and the game will soon screw me over into a streak of losses, but may as well enjoy it while it lasts.

 Someone's crabby, it was a joke! Lighten up.

Don't get too happy, my team is in terrible form and I'm in 18th in division 2 I think because I've been fecking about with the formations too much.

I wasn't, still trying out formations so every bit helps. Looked a bit of a dull game with the stats, think my extra possession probably gave me the slight edge.
