And with a nervy 1-0 win away at Sevilla Cardiff are into the final to face Manchester United where they will not be bucking their trend of having never beaten the Red Devil’s.

It is reported that the trophy has already been engraved to celebrate Uniteds success and the confetti cannons are full to the brim with red and white.

When quizzed on his sides chances to win the most coveted prize in SM football the Cardiff manager replied:

We’re totally fecked

Sigh. @Ravelation you do know that counts as an FFP ban?

I've just read through beintos case via pages 1234 in red cafe, and ours were similar but not the same.

Matic was accepted as outgoing before I made a bid on Tadic.

In benito case, he accepted an incoming player before having an outgoing bid accepted.

Not only that but as you can see via my screenshot, the player left Darlington before one arrived, but in any case I'm happy to accept a ban and won't argue if you feel it is so.

But the rules need to state that an accepted bid of a player incoming does not have any effect on your squad size until said player is sold.

Ive said my bit, the rest is in your hands yall,.

Trust me to get a season long ban on effing tadic fml

Not true.

I had an accepted bid outgoing and my player moved before the incoming one did but still got a ban.

The ban you’ll get is for making a cash only bid on Tadic in the first place. Any bid made is assumed accepted and counts towards FFP. I learnt the hard way.

Yeah, this is the rule. Sorry Rav. At least you're taking the season ban on the chin.

Ahh, ite, no doubt but again I'd propose that it's stipulated in the ffp rules that accepted outgoings do not count towards FFP calculations.

It will save some other pleb on the future a ban.

I said this at the time of mine.

I think it absolutely needs to be in there because you have clearly not tried to break the rules in anyway and it’s not affected any other club.

Also while we're on the subject, can 8 have access to the spreadsheet or at least the calculations involved with calculating ffp. I've always been baffled why I've got 52 as opposed to 50 ffp.

Genuinely brings so much more joy seeing a player you brought in sub 90 creep towards it. More than winning anything.

Yep, though winning stuff is awesome too.

Mbappe from 75 to 95 is my pride and joy. Goretzka from 75 to 93 after 7 years was great too.

The formula from the spreadsheet is ROUNDDOWN((MAX(D:D)-D15)/3,0)+42+((C15-1)*2)

Substituting the numbers in for you

ROUNDDOWN((81-51)/3,0)+42+((1-1)*2)
ROUNDDOWN(30/3,0)+42+(0)
ROUNDDOWN(10+42)
ROUNDDOWN(52)

52.

C15 is the league you're in, so if you're in Division 2 it would be 54 etc.
The first part is based on your finances compared to others, which you can see a snippet of here. The finances are based on league alone not including wages so it is fair and consistent across the board.

So in words the overall formula is

((richest club's earnings in millions - your earnings in millions)/3) + 42 + ((league you're in - 1) * 2)

Harry Maguire might be on the move.... it’s very close now between two clubs.

Is Griezmann available?
Yes.

We really need a BBC style transfer rumours round-up. Bring on the Gossipgirl Christinaa onboard.
  • United were in talks to exchange Griezmann and Eriksen for two teenagers of differing nationalities but talks fell apart.
  • United then offered that same club Raheem Sterling for the same two teenagers but the club bravely decided to stick*.
*Sterling is not for sale to any other club than the one mentioned.
  • United offered Griezmann to a different club for a player in their 20s rated in the low 80s (who realistically won't hit 90 for another year at least). Things seemed to be moving well, but that club had cold feet due to a previous transfer they made where their player fell from 93 to 89 in just over a year. Tried telling them that that situation wouldn't happen to Griezmann but they said that they thought they would have had a minimum 92 rated player for years to come with the other player.

  • Ipswich have made an approach for Hereford and Italian striker Andrea Belotti. (Pie Sports)
  • MK Dons are interested in 20 year-old Hereford defender Eric Garcia. (Football Outsider)
  • Hereford made a club record bid to sign Manchester United striker Antoine Griezmann. (Daily Whale)

Cardiff City Rumours:
  • Maguire could be heading up back to England claims Wales is too wet and wants better weather. Interest from the north and midlands.
  • Derby County on a one man mission to buy everyone for cash.
  • Ocampos appears to be staying after someone offered the footballing equivalent of a half eaten pack of hob nobs.

Congrats to Ridle Baku, Sergino Dest, Axel Disasi, Sander Berge, Eddie Salcedo, Jude Bellingham, Luka Sucic, Hichem Boudaoui and Jeremie Frimpong for making their United league debuts today.

Great news - Toni Kroos will be available for the Champions Cup final. His injury ends the same day and as European fixtures don't use fitness he'll be able to play.

Still no Mbappe or Trent though :(

Darlington basically killed Corona :( so now my best RB is gone too

Yeah, that's why I played my youth v Southend to ensure there wouldn't be more absentees. Plus I knew it wouldn't affect the European qualification of the teams around them. Unlucky with Corona. 5 weeks is a rarity but he'll only miss 3 weeks of next season.

So have you found a space for the trophy yet?
